During this time, I had broke 2 teeth on my bottom partial and aspirated them - not good. So I needed a dentist appointment as well. My husband came out of his appointment in shock. Dr Gardiner is not just a good dentist- he is a GREAT dentist. My husband said he has not had this comprehensive an exam in FOREVER. On to my appointment- Dr Gardiner is not charging me for his time - I'm just being charged the lab fees for my partial!!!! What dentist does that?!?!?! The staff and Doctor Kapoor were all delightful and professional as they took very good care of my teeth. I did need to make a few adjustments to my brushing, as I was using too strong a brush, mine was medium. I have switched over to soft and I should have lesser troubles in the future. I brushed so hard that I wore the enamel off and started carving out the dentin. The doctor fixed all of my teeth and then some even fixing the carving out parts, she filled with composite material. My wife goes here next and I am sure she will love it too.

They have many locations across the metropolitan area, which makes scheduling incredibly easy if you're willing to drive. They also sent all forms electronically ahead of time, which made check-in very smooth. The office is a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. A gentleman behind the counter greeted me warmly, which I appreciated. The rest of the check-in experience could have been better. When I approached the counter, a woman at a computer about 7 feet away (left of the front desk---possibly the "check out" station) did not make eye contact or offer a greeting. Instead, while looking at her screen, she said, "What's the name?" in a way that wasn't clear she was speaking to me or the gentleman standing behind her. As a first-time patient, that moment felt abrupt and not as welcoming as it could have been, especially since I wasn't sure the question was directed at me. I'm mentioning this specifically so the office is aware, because simple adjustments in communication can make a big difference. It was also the Friday right after Thanksgiving, so I understand it may not have been the easiest day for anyone returning to work. Still, a little more acknowledgement would've helped set a more positive tone for a new patient. My cleaning was where I had the most concern. The flossing was unusually forceful, snapping hard between my teeth and hitting my gums, causing sharp discomfort. It felt rushed, almost as if she was under a six second countdown. Afterward, I noticed a piece of floss stuck between my teeth. I also had to ask to have the back of my front teeth polished. This was very different from any of the past cleanings I've had. I'm assuming the hygienist may be new or was simply having an off day, which can happen, especially right after a holiday. Despite the cons, there were clear positives: the convenience, the warm greeting from one male staff member, and the smooth electronic check-in process. You then see a dentist. No matter what dentist there they are all so nice and compassionate. Today I saw Dr.Tucker. I've had 3 tooth pulled 3 different places and Dr.Tucker was the most gentle, persistent, caring, dentist I've ever experienced. She isn't heavy handed and makes sure you're okay while doing the procedure. She also works with anxiety well there was also another woman who helped me too with my anxiety.
