WOW! We were pleasantly surprised by our lunch at Prod-O Brewery & Distillery! We were visiting my…read moresister in Quemado and she mentioned she had been wanting to try Prod-O. Her expectations (and ours) were not very high as it is hard to find truly good dining in Catron County. Boy were we wrong! The place has a great vibe with fun decor, plenty of seating, pool tables, etc. We were warmly welcomed by our server, who turned out to be one of the owners. She had an impressive knowledge of their products and shared a bit of history as well. Prod-O proudly offers craft brews and spirits from New Mexico, including their own brews and whiskey. We tried the Prad-O brews, Elfego and Eagle Peak. Both got a thumbs-up from our party. Unfortunately, we did not get to taste their in-house whiskey as it sells out faster than they can distill it. Guess that means another visit! The food did not disappoint as we enjoyed the quesadillas, pretzel with beer cheese, breadsticks, and salad, all freshly made in the kitchen by Jody, who also makes a KILLER salsa! Their desserts sounded fantastic, but our bellies were full...next time! Prod-O Brewery & Distillery was a highlight of our visit and we are excited to come again next time we are in New Mexico!
