Reply from Mallory about applying grouping that is STILL selling on Groupon that they do not accept.

Open Doors Yoga Studio, more like CLOSED DOOR YOGA STUDIO. Their company is the exact opposite of an open door and I am extremely disappointed. I am currently looking for a new yoga spot since returning back to yoga and noticed a Groupon offer. After I purchased one from groupon for the N. Attleboro studio and there was an issue with applying the groupon. Naturally I took the time to call the studio because I was determined to try this place. I left a voice message and the VM said they were closed, so I sent an email hoping to sign up for class. The entire studio is misleading. THEY STILL SELL THEIR PASSES ON GROUPON WITHOUT ALLOWING PEOPLE TO ACTUALLY USE THE PASSES!!! It was mind blowing a company would create this much of a hassle for their interested customers. Upon reply from my kind email asking assistance with how to sign up for classes, I received an email from Mallory Pfantz, "Hi Karissa, Thank you for reminding me that I need to update my answering machine message! I'm sorry that I missed your call. Unfortunately, we aren't currently accepting Groupon vouchers, due to how hard the studio suffered during the pandemic. However, I know people have had luck with receiving a refund from Groupon . Please let me know if you're able to do so. We would love to see you in a yoga class soon. I am Truly sorry for any inconvenience. Best, Mallory Pfantz". The fact that they are still selling on groupon and then Mallory wants to (and others) to reach out to groupon for refund which was not possible and then to let he know BLOWS MY MIND!!!!! Remove yourself from groupon please, so there are not others that waste their time like me. I do not think their suffering is strictly from pandemic if this is how they treat potential customers. There is no need to continue to mislead people.. you should stick to your word and stay on top of your offerings.

The mission of the Providence Zen Center is just simply to focus on compassion and practice meditation. That's it. And if by being more compassionate, learning to be more in the moment, learning to be focused and in control of our minds can help make the world a better place and help others, then heck yeah I'm going to keep doing that! I truly believe that people should at least visit the Providence Zen Center once, either on Wednesday nights at 5:30pm for dinner and meditation instruction and practice, or come check out the Sunday morning meditation instruction/practice at 9:00am and the Dharma (wisdom) talk led by a Dharma Teacher at 10:45am. The grounds are beautiful (there is a LOT of space to wander), the people are awesome, and they're even working on doing organic farming! I helped take care of plants when I stayed there. They've been selling their homegrown vegetables in farmer's markets after harvesting. The goodness they put into the local and greater community is immeasurable! It's a nonprofit organization too, so if you donate anything, it's tax-deductible. I sincerely hope that the Providence Zen Center can thrive but that can only happen if people continue to visit and join practice! So if you're looking for a place to grow your mindfulness, your compassion, and your meditation practice, look no further, this is the place for you :)
