If you are a shoe lover, then you must check out Open Air Vintage. Open Air Vintage is located inside the Long Beach Exchange next to a salon. The store has good selection of dunks, Jordan's, and Yeezys. They do sell other high-end shoes as well. In addition to shoes, they sell clothes, plants, and other collectible items. Over half of their items are second-hand. Even though most items are second-handed, the store isn't cluttered and is very organized and well put together. The store is big and spacious with lots of room to roam around. They have private dressing rooms to try on clothes and even a cute Takashi Murakami flower plush pillow room. The cafe is honestly disgusting. I'm so floored as to how they are still operating. I went there about a year ago when they first opened and had an innovative plant based collaborative matcha menu that was delicious! I went back about a month ago on a Sunday and they were open but closed for an hour, when they opened up at least 5 employees trickled out from the back. Whatever, if that's how you effectively run a business then by all means, but given they are always dead, I can't imagine that to be true. I ordered a matcha and there was a hair in it, when I tell you nobody gave a sh*t I truly mean that. And the owner was right there. As someone who has their own business, I would be BEYOND horrified and apologetic. It was like everyone was in a fog, I can't even explain it. So they made another and it was fine, not like the first time, I had learned that the person they collaborated with on the menu no longer was part of the cafe. Shocker. Anyway, I appreciate a plant based cold foam so I stupidly went back today. Ordered the same thing, with extra vanilla on the side. The foam was watery and I poured some vanilla in (I'm gagging writing this) when I tell you what I tasted was horrific!! Like spoiled watery liquidy rotten apple juice, I spit it out so fast and almost threw up. Still feel it in my throat and am nauseated. I brought it in and once again, they looked like deer in headlights. No urgency, no omg I'm so sorry. Just smelling things like this smells fine, that smells fine... dude...taste the things! Taste the oat milk, taste the vanilla! Throw it out! It's dangerous to serve that to customers. And I was using a straw so it most likely came from the bottom of the drink (where the milk is). They offered to make me another which I almost accepted but was trying to process their reasoning and if the next drink would be safe, the barista was like let's use simple syrup instead of vanilla... but, love... what if it was the cold foam, the oat milk, the matcha. How could you possibly know which ingredient is sour? Mind absolutely blown. It's just apparent to me that this must be a trickle down situation where the ppl running the place are complacent and therefor so is the staff. I'm not sure if it's intentionally supposed to be a I'm too cool, I don't care about customer service, we don't give af situation. If that's the case then the product needs to be flawless to back the attitude up. But in any business, you should absolutely give af about the few customers you do have. Especially if there are hairs in your drinks and your ingredients are spoiled. Don't act like the customer is annoying. Reading the above reviews, this experience is not special to me. My husband and I were like are they ok?! We left truly dumbfounded the last time. This time I'm just disgusted. I debated writing a review the first time b/c I want small businesses to thrive, especially vegan cafes and anything with clothing. But this is just negligent and gross. Let Me start off by saying this place is next level. Im from Chicago, and love everything that is instagram worthy. If you like sneakers please stop by this place. It's absolutely amazing customer service is great shoes are impeccable. I will say that the prices are on the pricier side starting at $100 the lowest I've seen was $35 for a graphic T-shirt. Everything in the store is either consignment or brand new. All of the Jordans are in pristine condition and most are new. Lastly let's get into the atmosphere. Literally what the name says is open air is so open in the store and is so inviting and zen. If you love plants, this is your stop. Overall it's in a brand new spot in a brand new area and if you're not from California I advise you to go to Long Beach to try this place out it's very Instagram worthy. read more

Doesn't really matter what you were doing on your phone because it gives the appearance that a customer isn't important, even if it was work related. Consignment stores will never be able to compete with the large online players on price or iventory so the convenience of picking up a shoe/shirt on the spot is really the only advantage. I've been in the resell game for a minute and have done business with other consignment shops so I understand exactly how it works. It's nice to see a vintage store with Melrose LA vibes here in Long Beach. On my first visit I was able to snag a vintage Ben and jerry shirt for $60 when it was going for $150-$200 plus else where. The store is amazing and has a really dope photo area with Murkami plushes everywhere. They have a great selection of Disney, Sports and Nascar vintage tees along with streetwear brands such as Supreme and Anti Social Social Club. They also have great prices on their sneakers with a wide variety of Jordan 1s and Nike Dunks among others. read more

I don't generally leave reviews, but when I have a good experience somewhere, I make sure people know about it. This shop is definitely one of the best shoe/clothing stores around. Competitive and fair pricing, both when buying and selling, especially for hype releases (dunks, Jordan's, nikes, etc.). clothing selection is pretty cool. Staff is nice and welcoming, and the buyer (who I think is the owner) is on top of the shoe market and knows his stuff. Easy to talk to and work with, not pushy or arrogant at all. The vibe in store is on point and the location is primo, right next to the LBX hangar. Total opposite experience of places like swish in the mall. I was in the Long Beach area on a Sunday afternoon with my son. He loves wearing high end sport shoes so we both decided to stop in and check out their selection. It was our first time in the store. As we entered the store I first noticed there decor and how clean and organized the store was . There was an associate working behind the counter and he was having a conversation with a friend . My son checked out their selection of items. We were both in the store approximately 15 minutes and were never greeted or even acknowledged by associate working that day. He never asked us if we needed help . There inventory is good but there customer service needs some help. read more

They have an amazing staff, an amazing owner, really good vintage shirts and bottoms, and affordable deals on sneakers. Their customer service is exceptional and staff is really friendly and make you feel welcome. Other sneakerstores dont emphasize the importance of customer care but Open Air really emphasizes affordability and customer care.
