When it does it's more than "take two ibuprofen" kind of pain. So every time this happens I've basically found a new chiro and this time was no different. I google searched and Jenny had good reviews and she was literally up the block (insert Jenny from the block reference). In the past, I've generally gone to a chiropractor and it takes 5 or 6 sessions to see results but I went from "this hurts too much to walk a mile" to "good enough to work out" in two sessions. Of course, your results may vary, but I was impressed. I'll be going back in the future and maybe if I treat the small stuff the big stuff will never happen.

We don't even live in SF anymore, but I happily drive 45 minutes to come see her because she is always able to help me feel better!! She can really tell what's going on inside my body. I was in such horrible pain for the first week, but did not seek any medical help (I hate going to the doctor). I eventually started feeling better, but even after two months, I still didn't feel like my usual self. I finally bit the bullet and found Dr. Green on yelp. This was my first time going to a chiropractor and I'm so glad I found someone so kind, experienced and knowledgeable. I went for a consultation and 3 followup sessions. After every session, I always felt the improvement. I can say with confidence that I feel 100% better after my last session with Dr. Green. She really made a difference and fixed my back. I am so grateful for her work and wish I went earlier (lesson for next time, but hope there is no next time). You start off with a one hour consultation and follow up sessions are thirty minutes after that. She takes medical insurance. The office is called Cloud Rest Healing which I believe is shared with a few other practitioners. It is a nice little gem in the Outter Sunset. If you are looking for a chiropractor, come find Dr. Green! Trust me, she knows what she's doing!

A bit of background is necessary to put this whole thing into context: Dr. Green was the EIGHTH…read more(that's right 8th) person I saw about my problem. I have been to 2 acupuncturists, 3 MDs (including a fun-times epidural), 1 physical therapist, and one other chiropractor, not to mention countless massage therapists, before I finally found Dr. Green (through a co-worker's recommendation). I have been in horrible chronic pain for almost a year at this point: the kind of pain that is highly unfortunate because it prevents you from being able to sit, thus ruining your life (who knew we spent most of our time sitting on our bums anyways?). I could tell right from the beginning that unlike all the other people I've seen before, Dr. Green actually takes a holistic approach to solving the problem. She was immediately able to zero in on several possible causes of my overall "dysfunction" and commenced treatment the same day. And when I say "treatment," I mean she actually spends the entire half an hour that you're in her office manipulating your muscles/joints. She has amazing state of the art equipment, which I have not seen other practitioners use, but which I found especially helpful for untangling all the knots in my muscles. Dr. Green spends a lot of time manipulating soft tissue, so if you've had chiropractic treatment before, this is likely different (and far more pleasant). Plus, it doesn't hurt that she's generally just an extremely pleasant person who genuinely cares about her patients and listens to them. To sum up: I've been seeing Dr. Green for about 2.5 months now and I've been steadily getting better with each visit. I could see improvement after the 2nd visit, which was amazing, given the fact that I've been in constant pain for a year. She has literally given me my life back and I can't thank her enough. (This review is a start!)

Her sliding fee scale was an anomaly I knew nothing about until our first visit. I always paid the highest tier, which was still extremely reasonable. I was not even in the Yelp app when it popped up at the bottom of some other page, and I had never thought to write a review previously, although I certainly recommended her to numerous friends. Well, there's no time like the present... but this is now less of a recommendation and more of a THANK YOU, Ellen... you will be sorely missed. Enjoy your retirement!
