They pivoted as best as they could during COVID. I'm really glad that they made it through. They set up virtual glasses and when the kids first start going back, they had cameras that you could watch the classes on. Only downside is the building that they are in. I started attending classes here 9 weeks ago on the recommendation of friends that have achieved…read moretheir black belt through this school. It was founded and is actively run by Grandmaster Jong Soo Park who was on the original Taekwondo demonstration team in the 60's and has a long career filled with many achievements and has many accomplished students. The school is very organized and there's always another black belt but sometimes many (I've been in classes with 6+) to help out. Classes start with a group warm up and line drills. The busiest classes of 20-30 are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6pm and Saturday at 11. The kids classes are at 5 and classes at 7 seem to be smaller but still taught by one of Grandmaster Park's blackbelts. The classes are physically and mentally challenging and I'm getting in better shape. The students have been friendly. I've definitely met very cool people. The space itself is very big, well equipped and maintained. The most you will pay for unlimited classes is 100/month on a monthly plan but yearly students that can pay upfront receive a heavy discount that works out to just over 60/month. Of course these prices might change so don't hold me to it! So far so very good!

We watched as a business venture at one location evolved into 2 locations, multiple seasoned and talented Masters and instructors and with hundreds of kids filtering through their doors each day. Top Level has a fine balance of martial arts training, discipline, self defense, anti-bullying and confidence building. Children of all ages are encouraged to ignite the leader within through guidance, encouragement and perseverance. Children and adults have a plethora of choices between evening classes, access to both locations, after school programs and weekend classes. Top Level Taekwondo does not stop there-they offer specialized classes for weapons training and sparring. Top Level students are provided with the opportunity to train and compete in tournaments and students always represent TLT by bringing home the metals! Top Level Taekwondo has PD day camps, March break camps, summer camps, Ninja nights, movie nights, holiday theme parties, birthday parties and more. This team has thought about everything. Oh! And their TLT gear- t-shirts, sweaters, hats, toques, water bottles and draw string bags. I know we must have the largest selection of TLT gear. Within our children's school, not a day goes by that I don't see someone wearing some TLT gear. Our family is a HUGE advocate for Top Level Taekwondo. It is our home away from home. I tried out Top Level because of their free trial offer, and registered both of my children after the first free class (I could have waited until the trial period was over, but I knew this was the right school after the first day) The instructors were professional, and very helpful with the many questions I had, and after having found out they have an after school program, I'll be registering my kids for that as well!
