Let me begin by telling you about myself I am a 28 y/o, AA, well educated female. I frequent ATL strip clubs on vacation and usually enjoy the music and the dancers. However, I will not be returning to Onyx. My husband and I visited Onyx on 8/11/12 and neither of us liked the experience. Here was our experience in a nutshell. Parking: $20 to park remotely close to the club $50 + to park on the club parking lot $10 to park down the street on an unsecured lot and walk up a hill (ladies 6 inch heels and hills don't mix well) Admission: $20 to enter. At the admission register I asked for some $1.00 bills. The response from the cashier (as she looked down her nose at me) "I only have 100 stacks. Anything less get at the bar." Excuse me? Really miss? Your a cashier at a strip club! She said it like she was sitting on some high horse. Inside the club: Once in the club it looks like most typical "upscale" (as upscale as a strip club can really be) strip clubs in ATL. It is larger than Magic city with limited seating. Dances from the strippers were $10. I received 1 dance from a girl who had a nasty attitude. I normally tip the dancers but not her! Also when I requested the dance I sat on a nearby couch that no one was sitting at to receive the dance. I had not sat down for 30 seconds before some guy says "You can't sit there. Well you can sit there but it cost $500.00." I laughed in his face. Needless to say I got the rest of the dance standing. Shortly after that my friends and I moved to another part of the club where we learned that in order to sit at a couch it cost an additional $300.00+ dollars. I also saw some table seating near the main stage. However, you would need to get there early to get one of those seats. Also I am unsure if those seats will cost you a small fortune. Dancers: Aside from the dancer I received a dance from the other dancers appeared friendly towards customers. I tipped a few on stage. Apparently you are not allowed to touch the dancers on the main stage (sorry I like to slap their ass while I tip). Drinks: For a martini I paid $9.00. Not sure how much bottle service was. Bathroom: Disgusting! With a LONG slow mining line with a toilet that didn't flush! Excuse me Onyx owners but you can rent out $500.00 couches but can't fix your plumbing? They sell drinks all night so obviously people are going to have to use the restroom! Overall: Onyx is not worth your hassle. The music was typical strip club shake your ass music. The dancers were the usual thick chicks with ass injections and slim waist. If you want a good time with sexy women and much less haste go to STROKERS on Friday or Sunday!!!! It's a little further out but worth the trip!! read more

I went here on a Saturday night. I was in town visiting family and my boyfriend and I wanted to go to a strip club. The place was easy to get to. There is self parking for $10 and valet for $20. We did valet. The attendant parked the car but gave us our keys back but when we were leaving he did go get the car for us. It was $10 to get in. Drinks are cash only. The vibe was nice. I never appreciated Onyx until I moved to Dallas, TX. Although the women are gorgeous here they don't hold a candle stick to my beloved ATL strippers. They are for that money and are with WHATEVER! Now I see why ATL is known for their strip clubs. I saw P**** Poppin on the hand stands and everything. They get it in! And making it rain? Lord, Thunder and lightning all night. (ok that was corny) but cash was everywhere. Don't even think about it though. The bouncers have a close eye on every bill that lands and they are bigger than Suge Knight so don't try to reach. lol. Me and my cousin went there on a Thursday first. It was cool. So we decided to come back with the fellas the next night. Completely different atmosphere. Balloons every where, smoke, DJ was live. It was a party. We got a VIP table and ofcorse everyone was really nice to us there. The women are gorgous. They dance completely nude! with alcohol served! They can't do that in NY. You can smoke in there too! All different sizes are in there too. I was under the impression you had to be a thick girl to dance in a club down south but nope. The slim ones make money too. They dance in teams it looked like because I saw the same group of girls go on stage together both nights. They split their tips so maybe thats why. (I notice everything. lol) Mad energy, they get it crunk (do people still say that?) Saw a white girl with the biggest fake behind I ever seen. (you might think I hate cuz i say that for every strip club I review but my cousin ended up getting a lap dance from her and it was fake. Trust me. lol) Onyx is definetely a go to on a Friday night if you're in Atlanta visiting and like strip clubs. $20 to get in and it's worth it. They close at 4pm and its packed till then. Came to ATL to visit my best friend for graduation.. The only reason why I give this establishment three stars is because my wings was cooked correctly. Beware this place does not take debt cards for entry. Went to pay for my food and beverage services and my waitress came back to tell me that the only excepted cards with chips. Will never go back! Valet Parking is $40 but they give you your key back after they park your car so you can walk to your car afterwards. $30 cover charge... Bright skinned bartender is rude.. Went here last night after hearing a lot about it. I got there around 9:45 and had to pay 10$ for parking. I paid another 10$ at the door. When I got in there nobody was there but around 11:00 people started to come in. The place was nice and big with plenty of places to sit. The dancers were good looking even the waitresses were. Both were friendly. Overall I recommend it but compared to other strip clubs I've been to the dancers had more of a look but don't touch vibe. read more

It was great. I went with my husband and we had a great time.It was our first time going to a strip club in Atlanta. I loved it the drinks were your normal price five dollars for a bud light lime and ten for shots. Which I had six of. Their lapdances are ten dollars which I thought was the best because up here it's more then that for a dance.So the husband and I pretty much spent a good three hundred dollars for the dances all together. This is my first review on yelp and I opened my account 5 minutes after I left Oryx because of the bad service I received. The parking lot was full of cars, so I assumed there would be at least some people in there; The place was completely empty, and I decided to leave immediately. I asked for a refund and they rudely declined, the girl working there rolled her eyes at me when I asked if I could come back a little later. The security guard was craking jokes. How can you happily take $20 from someone and 5 minutes later treat them like they don't exist. I hope that $20 was worth it. The Click and I met here the last Friday of the month in October 2011. They host a cigar event during the Happy Hour, where drinks are reduced and they have a guy hand rolling cigars. The cigars were excellent. I was surprised. The girls were nice and one of the better selections around Atlanta. The DJ talks and talks and talks, someone really should tell him that we are not there to hear him. It went on and on sometimes stopping the music and bringing the girl to a dead stop in the middle of their stage set. It was a good mixed crowd, we had several ladies with us and all of them had a cigar. We had a good time. The audio system is nice, the club is upscale, they spent a lot of money on the setup, bar and seating areas. Its a nice spot. Due to how expensive they are regularly though, i doubt they'll see me other than on these last of the month Fridays. It was supposed to be free parking, it wasn't, they hit you for $2 just because, no excuse, he said "it was supposed to be free parking but we're expecting a lot of people so we're just charging 2" entry was free however and the margarita/quervo i was drinking was $8 so i didn't qualify for the bar brand happy hour discount they were giving. Okay, came here on a Saturday night. Maybe I'm just used to Stadium night club in DC but I was underwhelmed. Girls average looking and the club isn't clean at all. It looks like a local skate land but with a stage. For the grand appearance of the outside you would think it would be a little nicer. And the security is rude and uninviting as well. Actually most of the staff is rude..bartenders, security, parking attendant all had attitudes. On the positive side ( I won't be too harsh) the parking and cover charge isn't bad and for those who aren't paying for VIP, they have plenty of free seating. They also have pool tables if you like pool.. And the music is really good. Overall I'd give it a 6 out of 10. If you're just looking for ass and good music then you'll be happy. If I could give this place NO STARS I WOULD! Not because the music or the dancers aren't good (because I've always considered them tops in Atlanta) but because of the way management handled a dining situation! I ordered one thing but when I received my food I got the wrong order. This isn't uncommon in restaurant settings but my issue is being told that what I ordered was not available so instead the chef thought it was okay to send something else out with the hopes that I wouldn't notice or that it would suffice. This is poor practice for a business. What I ordered is rarely purchased by customers so they didn't have all the ingredients in stock...my suggestion would be to take it OFF the menu because people like me will see it & order it!!! But let me take it a step further, the manager (an older, white gentleman) came out & took my critique for attitude. Offered no apology or solution & walked off while I was still talking. Let's be clear, it is a club so it's loud so my voice was elevated but none the less I was making a valid complaint! I too am a business owner & understand the concept of the "customer is always right"! He clearly wanted to be right in this situation & saw no need to make me a returning customer & TRUST when I say it will be a cold day in HELL before I EVER step foot in this establishment again! My girls and I went on Friday June 7 (during the Atlanta Greek Picnic weekend) and it was okay. I'm a straight female but those girls were very attractive. The only downsides are the two drink minimum and how early you have to get there to get a good seat. We got there early to get a good seat but we were the only people giving the girls money, aside from two groups of lesbians, so all but 2 were boring. However, when more men arrived, they did more so it got better I guess. I went on a Thursday night also after leaving Magic City because the girls there were too petite to me and I like thick women. I paid $20 for parking and $30 to get in. Ok we go in and let me say this place has some beautiful women with banging bodies and thick just like I like them. As an out of towner you aren't going to feel welcomed at all though. Half the guys in there the strippers already know so they gravitate towards those guys. The strippers here are very stuck up to the point where you have to walk up to them and holla at them like you are in a real club. So what's the point? I'm an attractive male also who dresses very classy. My boy joked and saud these girls are ratchet if you not dressed like a rapper or street dude they won't be on you like that. I got a dance from one chick and it had to be the worst lap dance I've ever had. She barely ever got real close and I damn near was scared to touch her because I didn't know if you could by the way she was acting. You can't get money changed to singles unless it's at least a 100 dollars. Also you can't buy a drink with your card unless you do a 50 dollar minimum tab. The ATM machine will run you a 7 dollar convenience fee charge as well. Basically if you not throwing stacks of money you won't have a good time here. The strippers won't pay you any attention. I know it's a strip club and they are all about money but I think if you give your customers a good experience they will come back and spend willingly. I had a pocket full of money but when I seen how they were acting in there I decided not to give them any of my money. It's a stripper in there named Pretty she's tall and thick and has a cute face. I went over to talk to her and see if I can get a dance. I asked her how much? She said a 1000 bucks. I laughed and just left her alone. She went and changed clothes after so I believe she was about to leave and she was just playing with me though.
