I've been to Onyx a few times (VIP for a bachelor party, VIP for NYE, and a couple of random visits with friends). Each time was enjoyable to a certain degree. Dancers: The dancers at Onyx are DOPE. $10 per song for a lap dance. They don't really play around here. Nice faces and body. Most of the dancers are built like stallions and dance like they're trying to persuade Obama to get back in office. I've seen some dancers perform on the pole like it's Cirque du Soleil, I've seen dancers hanging and twerking from the piping on the ceiling, I've seen two dancers twerking on each other while both are spread eagle on the same pole. This place is like Disney World. The dancers are also extremely nice. They can definitely be assertive, especially if they notice you're just kind of sitting there. Don't be scared. They won't bite. If you're not interested in a dance, just tell them in a respectful way. Other than that, they're just conversing or trying to get a dance. Me and one dancer in particular went from discussing her high school wrestling days to how we can't wait for the next season of Game of Thrones. That convo worked, because she got a dance out of me. Atmosphere: Onyx applies PRESSURE. When I say that, I mean, you're pressured to spend money. Every time that I've ever been, the DJ usually hounds patrons if he doesn't see enough money thrown on stage that he feels is substantial. The closer you are to the stage, the more of a target you are. You might actually get called out by what you're wearing if it's THAT bad. I've seen it. There's even a skit about this on the FX show "Atlanta" this season (Ernest threw money on the stage after being called out by the DJ and when he did, the DJ called him out again saying, "That's all?!") And we get it.....the reason you're at a strip club, is to see women dance nude. This is their JOB, so It's only right to throw dollars so they get paid, but that same dancer will be on stage in another 15-20 minutes. We'll see her again, I promise. She'll get money bro, Relax. It's a LOOOOOONG night. Other than his tipping tantrums, the DJ's here are good. Atlanta's finest trap music runs fills the club. That is until you're caught not throwing money. Once, a DJ played country music & gospel after a dry spell went by for a "new" dancer. *THE JELLO SHOT LADY IS ANNOYING! Very sweet lady, but she doesn't know how to take "No" or "I'm good" for an answer. I don't even drink alcohol, so it's already frustrating. But even if I could drink, why would I waste it on a Jell-O shot? If you tell her no and a dancer is near you, she'll put you on the spot and ask you if you want to buy one for the dancer. Don't be afraid to say no if you don't want to. That shot don't come with dance. *Smoking is allowed. The hookah man is FUFU. Don't rock with him at all. Just bring your own smoke. He was wishy washy with hookah prices one night we went as a group. Told us one price then when it came out, told us another. Luckily, we had a Snapchat video of us talking and we were able to play it back. He has nothing to do with the club, so I can't really fault them for him. But he's TRASH! Food: I've had wings & fries from here. The flavors I've had were hot, hot/lemon pepper, and sweet teriyaki. Although they taste good, the wings are pretty small. Not really a filling unless you order a good bit. Don't fall in love at Onyx. Bring in a certain amount with you and call it a day. You could really go broke in here. Bring enough so that you have a good time and don't have to hit the ATM, but not enough to where you have no groceries for the week.

From the potato salad down to the chicken. The only downside was the extremely long line for the Buffet. They need to get a better system in place when serving the food. The venue was extremely hot inside. I'm not sure if it was because a lot of people were inside or the air conditioner is not strong enough. So I suggest you bring your portable fan. The DJ and live band was excellent, they definitely kept you entertained. The beautiful ladies were everywhere. The bottle girls and the dancers were a nice mixture that represented all shapes and sizes. The ladies were very friendly and constantly checked on you. They offered Hookah for a reasonable price and the price of the drinks was reasonable. The ladies room is extremely small for a club this size, only 3 stalls and the dancers have to use the same rest room as the customers. I think they should have a separate rest room for the dancers.
