Onward Travel Solutions is a bit hit-and-miss. The first time we used them, the driver was perfectly on time, finding Duke's Hotel, which is off a tiny alley that is in turn off a narrow street from St. James. The ride to Heathrow was quick and efficient, the driver polite and helpful. Pleased with that experience, I decided to use OTS again. The 40 pound fare was comparable to the cost for two of using a taxi and then the Heathrow Express from Paddington. But this driver did not turn up on time. When I phoned the office, they contacted him and he said he couldn't find our hotel. Our hotel was One Aldwych, its name and address being the same. So he couldn't find Aldwych? In the end, he parked behind the hotel, a block away, and a kindly hotel doorman had to help us with our luggage because the driver did not. All this created a 20-minute delay. It was another 20 minutes to get down the length of the Strand to Trafalgar Square. We caught our flight but mostly because I had left plenty of cushion. Would I use OTS a third time? Perhaps. The score is 1-1. I guess I'll have to choose an easier-to-find hotel. read more

At company suggestion paid for meet and greet service re. an overnight flight from Canada as we did not have a cell. Driver didn't show. It took nine phone calls on borrowed phones and two hours to finally get a driver. During these calls it was denied the reservation was made, we were disconnected, drivers went missing etc etc.. Numerous nonsensical emails re return trip to the airport. Company promised a review of our situation in 5 days which as not materialized. Would never consider using again and would recommend avoiding them. read more

I arrange a pick up for a relative of mine which is her first time in UK so I add meet and greet service which is an additional cost of £5! The driver called me as I left my details in the order form, he was asking me if the person is out of the plane at the time the plane was not even landed yet. I told him that I will inform him as soon as I get a hold of my relative. She was still on the plane and not even passed the passport check. I called back the driver and explained him the situation and told him I will call him again as soon as she passes the passport control as he didn't want to park the car and pay for the parking. I was trying to make everything easier for him and I agreed. The time my relative finally found the driver, It was 10 mins more than the standard waiting time however he was not even waiting inside the airport. Then I received a phone from the company itself telling me that they have to charge me £10 more !! I asked why and the explanation was the excessive time, parking costs and the driver time bla blaa! I was fuming! When I explained them what actually happened and the driver was not even in the car park, they reduced the charge to £5! I was telling them this is ridiculous and they kept saying how sorry they are but they have to charge this to keep the driver happy!!!! I suggest them they better keep their customers happy rather than abusing them!! I will never use them again and I suggest everyone stay away from OTS! read more

On arrival back at Heathrow the driver was not there to meet us and refused to come to our location when he finally did turn up 20 minutes later. I had booked an estate car, he arrived in a small coupe. The impression I get dealing with them is that they are a bunch of amateurs who don't understand the level of service their customers require. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY!!! go with Arrow Cars based at Manchester Airport, we booked months in advance for a return journey to and from Manchester Airport As we were going to the USA for three weeks, the driver rang us on the 27th March for us to confirm that all was ok for the 6am pick up on Saturday 28th March, he didn't turn up! and his phone went to voice Mail, phoned the office and they said they would ring him and call us back they did but they couldn't get hold of him either, asked if they could send another taxi (time was ticking) said yes the lady said that she would ring me back, she rang back and said that it would be a least an hour, too late, we would have missed our flight, so fortunately we had a car so had then to pack the car with our cases and make a mad dash to the airport, told the lady on the phone that they would have to pay for the airport parking etc ,no problem says she, they did refund me the return taxi fair £83 but did not mention that they would deduct this amount from any refund that They made upon our return once I e-mailed them all my receipts.We made the check in with only minutes to spare if we had not had a car then we would have missed our flight and that would have cost them mega, they had already ruined the start of our dream holiday. as for the lady saying that ALL our expenses would be refunded well she downright lied!! they would not pay for our petrol we used getting us to and from the airport, nor for our phone calls, and would not recompense us for the stress they had caused, any taxi booked is important but a taxi to the airport is vital!!! so do not use them they are unreliable, tell downright lies, and do not keep there word, we are absolutely disgusted with this company and HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT USE THEM!! IF YOU DO THEN AT YOUR OWN PERIL BE IT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! OTS, a company that provides one service; pick someone up at point A and deliver them to point B. To be successful, they just need to be able to organize the transport to be at location A at the correct time to get to location B. I'm assuming that based on my experience, and that of many others, that this company will not last long. It seems that they are incapable of organizing the transport on a consistent basis. I was left waiting for 45 minutes to be taken to the airport at 4:30 in the morning. The driver never showed up. I called a taxi which arrived in 5 minutes and was actually cheaper than the OTS service (which I pre-paid). I've also found that customer service on the day and during discussions for a refund were less than friendly. Bottom line, use someone else and save yourself the hassle and money. read more

Dirty and smelly car arrived 5 minutes late with a broken infant seat and a booster seat, despite me asking for two baby seats. I had been told they could not guarantee infant seats, as the driver might be cancelled and replaced with short notice. However, this was not the case here, as I booked over one week in advance and the driver had not been replaced with short notice. read more

Horrendous company take my advice DO NOT USE these rip off merchants, my son booked them on line to take them to BHam airport, the vehicle was not up to standard & the driver drove like a maniac, but they got to airport. The return pick up or lack of it was a different matter. The return flight was delayed due to monarch going bump & my son was on an alternative flight, he emailed the taxi company to advise them of the new flight number & also messaged them when he knew the flight was delayed. Upon arriving at Bham airport he put his mobile on normal mode only to see a massage saying the taxi driver had been waiting & would wait no longer leaving my son & his new bride with no transport after this so called taxi company had been paid in full. The conversation my son had with someone called Chris basically said if my son wanted them to send a taxi he would have to pay in full again. Apparently the people who run this company must be brain dead because they cannot pick their customers up if they are delayed unlike reputable taxi companies. Avoid this company at all cost! We booked them from Gatwick airport to our hotel in Central London. It was the worst car service experience we had every had and we're frequent travellers. First of all the driver was 20 mins late. When he finally showed up his van wasn't exactly clean. After he started driving he was checking his phone for directions then asked my husband for the postal code of the hotel. Wasn't he supposed to have all the info before he even picked us up? Then he was driving 40+km over the limit and we had a child in the car. Next thing you know he decided to open his window while my daughter and I were sitting in the back. The husband had to tell him to close the window. Anyways he had no idea where he was going. It took an hour and 45 mins to get to our hotel. The worst was he dropped us off half a block from our hotel! He had the nerve to blame it on the postal code my husband gave him. My husband had asked him in t6he car whether he knew where the hotel was. He assured us that they did! We had 2 big suitcases, a child, carseat and stroller. My husband had to ask him to help us take one of the bags. After a few steps walk, he left our bag in the street and took off because he said he couldn't leave his car there! WTH? That was the worst experience ever! Do yourself a fave and do NOT use these guys. read more

Absolutely livid! We booked a car to drive from Gatwick to Islington. First, the taxi driver was to LAZY to come in (using the excuse that he thought my flight had came in earlier) so he called me and told me he was parked across the street at a hotel and I must walk to him. I had several bags and a young child. After 15 minutes of going back and forth I finally found him at the hotel. He didn't help put baggage into the car. My 9 year old daughter and I had to do it on our own! Then he drove very recklessly to our destination. He was speeding and breaking very abruptly all while cussing and sighing obnoxiously. There was no music in the vehicle and it was absolutely freezing. You would think that after I spent as much money as I did to use this service they would at least do the very basics for customers. This was the longest 2 hour drive I have ever had in my entire life! I will NEVER use this service again! read more
