My interaction with Haley from ontario archery supply has been one of the strangest interactions I have ever had with a vendor. She was recommended to me by one of my employees who is a director of the largest archery club here in the GTA. All I needed was a bowstring, and I asked for one, and she said no problem, and I thought it would be a straightforward process. I asked for shipping with a tracking number and she said that would be an extra cost, which I agreed to. Thats when the craziness began. for the next two weeks, she lied to me about when it shipped, if it shipped, would not give me a tracking number, etc. I heard excuses about her being on vacation, not having a babysitter, not being at the store, about it being a pandemic, and something about a gun in sarnia. The whole interaction was so disturbingly hilarious that it astonished me. in the end, I never got the tracking number, but did get the bowstring (weeks after it was promised), and did end up being charged the higher price for shipping. Despite numerous attempts at clearing up the situation, to no avail, now I am filing a small claims suit against her over the shipping charge. Consider how bad her handling of it was for me to do that over a $10 extra charge.
Anyone considering using her as a supplier should seriously consider if this is how she handled a customer with the ear of a large institutional customer with hundreds of members who will hear about this through their own grapevine, imagine how she will treat some poor lone person who needs archery supplies. Consider yourself warned. read more
