Horrible Experience, Terrible Communication, and Unprofessional Management - Avoid This Shop at All…read moreCosts! I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about the nightmare I endured at Ascue's Auto Body & Paint Shop. If you're looking for a place to trust with your car repairs, DO NOT come here. I brought my car in to have the front right side fixed, and what was supposed to be a routine repair turned into a 3/4-month-long ordeal. From the start, the communication was abysmal. I was never updated as promised. I had to call the shop repeatedly to get any information, and even then, they would just give me vague answers or tell me I needed to wait longer. They seemed extremely annoyed whenever I called for an update which was ridiculous. Keisha, the manager, was unhelpful, unprofessional, and rude. Every time I called, she acted annoyed and would ALWAYS fail to follow through on promises to call me back. To make matters worse, they gave me false deadlines--telling me my car would be ready on certain dates, only to find out weeks later that it still wasn't done. This went on and on until I finally got my car back... two months after I dropped it off. But that's not even the worst part. The very next day, my car broke down in a parking lot. The car was stuck in park, and the engine wouldn't turn off--it was a new issue that hadn't existed before the repairs. I was stranded for four hours, and had to get it towed back to their shop. Eventually they ended up towing my car to a Jeep dealership to deal with the new issue. However, after another 2 weeks, I called for an update and realized they didn't even know which dealership my car was actually at. I had to call multiple dealerships MYSELF just to find out where my car was. The lack of communication continued. Another month went by with absolutely no updates. They never called with an estimate for me to approve, it was radio silent. Therefore, I assumed the shop was going to deal with payment since their repairs caused the issue. They never provided an estimate or consulted me about the work being done. Finally, when my car was done I went to pick it up and to my surprise they forced me to pay an additional $2,000 for repairs I had no idea about. When I asked for any kind of documentation or approval, they couldn't show me a record of any conversation where I'd authorized these repairs. Keisha was beyond rude, and after an hour of arguing, my only choice was to either pay or take legal action. This has been the worst customer service experience of my life. I was treated with utter disrespect and forced to pay for work I didn't approve. I don't know how this business is still operating, but my advice to anyone reading this is simple: stay far away from Ascue's Auto Body & Paint Shop. Keisha is the most unprofessional, inconsiderate manager I've ever encountered in any business. Don't make the mistake I did. There are plenty of other auto shops that will treat you with respect and do the work right the first time. Avoid this place at all costs.

I dId, however, had my running boards installed by Tri-County Line -X, I really must say that it was one of the BEST Customer Experiences I have ever had on ANY of my Vehicles. The Owner Anthony and Installer Austin were just so Knolwedgable and went above and beyond to even help me with some other Minor issues at NO CHARGE. I am excited to be getting ALL of my Future Mods with them as I truly Trust and Believe in them, and they will not just be looking to sell me stuff that THEY like, but what I Like and Want. The ONLY REGRET I have is I wish I knew about Tri-County Line X before I got $8,000 in Upgrades and Mods at a Local Competitor in Charleston, where they were just rude, made several mistakes, and took Zero Responsibilities on thier mistakes. Not to mention, their work was Shotty and I can only pray I do not have problems in the future! If I do, I know where I will be going for sure!

Charleston weather is relentless: salt air corrodes, humidity bakes grime into paint, pollen stains clear coats, and sudden rain showers undo a wash in minutes. Moonshine’s services—ceramic coatings, paint correction, deep interior restoration—aren’t luxuries here; they’re protection against the elements. Unlike quick washes, Moonshine treats every vehicle like a restoration. Sand is pulled from carpets, oxidation cut from headlights, paint sealed to withstand the coast. The result isn’t just clean—it stays clean longer, saving clients time and worry. Convenience also sets Moonshine apart. The fully equipped Ford Transit Connect brings the entire shop to driveways, docks, and downtown streets. In a city of tight porches and historic lanes, mobility matters, and Moonshine makes professional detailing accessible wherever clients are. But the real difference is in values. Charleston thrives on connection, and Moonshine mirrors that spirit—building long-term relationships through maintenance programs, giving back with charitable details, and partnering with other local businesses. A Moonshine detail isn’t just a wash. It’s confidence when salt air lingers, pride when cruising down King Street, and comfort when loading up for Folly Beach. In the Lowcountry, protecting your car means preserving a way of life—and Moonshine is built for exactly that.
