It's not too far off from Heritage Hill Brewery, so you can do a two-for and visit both-- however the park is lovely and worth a visit on its own. There's an overlook near the entrance where you can get a glimpse of the waterfall. However, the falls are also within walking distance of the start of the trail. The hill is on a slant and there are steep stairs, so the view may not be accessible for those who have difficulty walking. However, it was so calming just to sit and watch and listening to the waterfall. The day I went, there were others out but the paths didn't feel claustrophobic. I took some time and walked through the woods. The trail I took was relatively short, I think about a half mile total. I appreciated that there was a marker at the start that let you know how long it was. I am by no means a regular hiker (hoping to change that one day!) but this trail wasn't exhausting and was quite serene. This is a great park with a great waterfall and is definitely worth checking out!

Ducks are plentiful during most seasons and are generally happy to see you, especially if you're using the feeders up by the roadside. There are ball fields nearby, swings (like rocker-style, not playground), and a small amphitheater in the vicinity. When you're all done with your walk, you can head up to the Manlius Library and enjoy what it has to offer or Unplugged Games for some board or card gaming. This is a great location for locals and passersby's alike.

Funny story- I accidentally ended up at Long Branch (LB) Park when I was suppose to be at another…read morenearby park. There was a huge event occurring for a good cause so we decided to hang out for an hour or so. Parking is ample. There are 3 shelters in the park and appear to be well maintained. All 3 shelters and bathrooms are in close proximity to each other and the parking lot. There is quite an incline from the parking lot to the shelters, note for accessibility. There is a small toddler friendly playground near the shelters and a couple short walking trails. The wooded areas have tall, mature trees flanking the trails. There are nice views of the nearby river. The only detractor for me is that no matter where you are in the park you can hear the traffic, either from the nearby road or the thruway. It takes away from the atmosphere. Also the one lane LB bridge that goes over the river is in very rough shape, drive slowly so as to not damage your vehicle and for general safety. Overall, a nice area for a gathering. Please note: LB Park is not Onondaga Lake Park. :)

You have to follow the markers and the yellow line on the path. At one point we got turned around but found our way back to the path. We found this walk very enjoyable and the path was well kept with nice scenery. We are going back to walk the other way from Spencer to Destiny mall next week.
