I like that the front part has local artists on display and the exhibits change from time to time with regards to theme. In the back, there are more featured artists and workstations where they come from time to time and work. I met a few of them who were friendly and welcoming and happy to answer questions and discuss their art and inspirations. The volunteers working inside were super friendly and the art on display is almost all for sale. I saw several things I wanted to purchase and ended up leaving with a small pottery piece to start my collection. Prices are reasonable as well and I love supporting local art.

I wasn't planning on really buying it, but as soon as I picked it up, I knew I had to bring it home. I strolled through the store and found Picasso and Miro lithos (I mean, wow!) and spoke with the owner, Brian, who is probably the most affable gentleman in all of Virginia Beach. He told me he knew very little information about the statue, but I paid the full price, since it was quite affordable to me. At the counter, we also met a repeat client of his, a quintessential southern lady with pearls who regaled us with delightful, and rather bawdy stories. I know my timing was right, but I found the gallery intriguing, well lit and stocked with gorgeous paintings. I'll be back next year.

In regards to the order that I had made I took a local photo down by the courthouse area and had posted it onto Instagram be mindful that if you are going to have a photo done you would need to send the original large style of the photo so that way you have the best resolution possible when transferred onto the pallet. The process overall talk about a few weeks which was done rather quickly! The owner does a really good job with keeping you posted to let you know when the process is complete and is very flexible in regards to pick up. When you get your order you will get a chance to take a look at it and there will automatically be a frame wire to hang on the back of the pallet in addition to a hardware fastener which is found bounded next to the pallet so that way it can be hung on the wall. How often does that happen? Almost never, but he did it and created a custom color to outline the flames that had been painted on the truck. It's just next door and boasts items inside from 70 local artists. How could I pass that by!!? Inside there are cute coastal items from tons of local artists in tons of sizes and shapes and flavors. You can get shells, wall art, small Knick knacks and household wares inside. It looks like in the back they do craft workshops.
