Nathan Sandberg is the best art glass instructor I've had. He provides a ton of ideas and technical details, and is an awesome mentor.

It's such a cool space offering Youth Theater Camp throughout the year with scholarship! I came for the first time on Saturday, August 9th for the adaptation play of Cesili Williams, author of the book, Umi, Rainbow River's Great Inventor. The kids and families got to meet the author at the end of the play. My friend's daughter and son attended their theater camp and both in the end of year production, UMI AND THE GREAT STRAWBERRY MYSTERY. Now I want to be a green unicorn! When my plates were "ready" I got a call telling me that two of the plates had slipped during firing and one of the plates had a little piece chipped out of it. There was no offer to fix this, no offer of solutions. The person I spoke with took no responsibility for this, saying this is just something that happens. I went back to Georgie's with my little bottle of paint and my paint brush, bought glue from them (I was really surprised that they wouldn't provide the dab of glue that I needed, but insisted I purchase a bottle of glue) and sat my car and touched up the six plates that needed touching up, not just two. I took the plates I touched up back in the store and when I came back to pick them up they looked worse than they did when I brought them in. The paint was mottled and smeared and a couple of the plates have smudges on them that weren't before. Of course, no one took responsibility for this. If I had signed something that told me that nothing was guaranteed, that I need to accept what I get, then I would have different feelings about this. But it is unusual for a business to ruin something and take no responsibility for it.

This place is perfect - Becca has the greatest environment for getting your creative juices flowing - chocolate, wine and great music! I came here with a group of gals looking for a fun time that wasn't your usual "Girls Night Out" - exactly what we received! Her studio is a great space where you can create anything you like - earrings, jewelry, belt buckles, coasters, trivets, display pieces, and anything you can think of! Becca has an incredible assortment of glass, colors, frit, and the possibilities are endless. Becca is a great instructor that encourages everyone to just go with the flow - she can help generate ideas, but is also in great support of letting you do your thing. Let her know what you need and she will have 5 ideas for you! She has lots of examples and visuals on the wall that help you get some ideas. Jennifer Wells Design is a hidden gem - the decorating pottery thing is so cliche, this is not! Once you complete your item(s), she will fire it in her kilns on site and have it ready for your pick up. The piece I made turned out awesome and I can't wait to get back there to make something else!
