One Main refied my used car after Wells Fargo stopped doing ALL AUTO LOANS. Thing is, just getting through Covid, and moving back to Bellevue by myself, and Wells suddenly stopping their interest in auto finance, I'm left in a big hole that I am not equipped to deal with. INE MAIN had combined, into 1 loan, a few personal loans they were all too eager to give me. So selling my beater car for even $3000 is impossible. And if I DID, the entire remainder of loan is DUE IMMEDIATELY. I CAN'T do it and not get evicted again. I've been evicted 3 times because this car payment drains me. I started back with One Main black in about 2011 and they have got me out of financial pinches many times and are always eager to help. I sincerely appreciate the staff and how quickly they can assist. Not sure why there are several bad reviews because I don't know what I would have done without One Mains help throughout the years. I always choose payment options to over pay my monthly loan, so maybe that has helped me not have a bad experience. I feel One Main definitely helped me figure out what I would need to pay each month to get my loans paid off as quickly as I could afford. They have always been super helpful in what dates my payments would come put, too. I recommend One Main and appreciate out 13 year ls of working together! read more

I had a loan from them I took out years ago. Paid off the full balance over a month ago yet it still hasnt been reflected on my credit. Sent an email A WEEK AGO to ask why and no response. No follow-up to my calls... Funny how they've suddenly gone silent, but when it's about requesting more money or trying to get you to withdraw more money they're relentless. this place gets a negative 5 stars, don't ever get a loan from these people, complete rip off. i repeat do not get a loan, i had a great credit score once before above 720,these people enjoy ruining lives. some how it sounds to good to be true. i was looking for a great loan in 2018 i thought at the time the rates were low but some how these people got me in a 36% loan. do the math $221.00 a month from april 18 to now i should almost be done with this loan, they said i still owe another $4,200. they are doing fraud and they should go to jail for what they are doing read more

Everett location: Staff is not helpful. I had to call 3 Times to get ahold of the Loan Officer Marylou or Mary-Lynn I'm not sure what her name was. I emailed everything needed yet I had to remind her to send to underwriting. She asked me all of the same questions so she clearly didn't bother reviewing the docs I sent or my application. Don't tell people you will call back in 5 minutes when an hour goes by and they have to call you. I spoke to two people that were available but was forced to wait for this person, I applied online you didn't do anything so I shouldn't be stuck with an assigned person. Especially an incompetent one. I declined offer due to interest rate but ultimately it's the staff engagement that sent me elsewhere. read more

The institution itself is great, especially in a time of need. BUT. Only use them as a last last LAST resort. My interest is $20 short from the principle, and I'd be paying double the loan to pay off with the min payment. I'm so disappointed in myself for being in need of a loan like this. Definitely NOT A GOOD LOAN! If you can, you're better off going through a bank with lower interest rates. I feel bad for everyone like me who is stuck with a huge loan and interest rate basically equaling the minimum payment. Lesson learned over here! read more

do not i repeat do not go through "one main " financial. even if you are about to be homeless or fix your debt or whatever. i opened a loan last february 18' it is now january 19' ive made a total of 11 pmts, ea above 200$ and even addtl payments. my principle has dropped only 800$. do the math ok ive paid over 2200$ and still have a payoff amount of 5k. where does it go? interest and fees. for every pmt made over 60% goes to interest. even if u make an extra pmt the still charge interest. idk bout you but i thought interest is charged on the monthly and not extra pmts. its clear they only trap you and have u paying out the @** for as long as possible. i wish i would of read reviews prior to going down and signing up. because now im stuck with a binding contract. oh and the employees?!? terrible they dont explain anything they only try and upsell. stay far away!!!!! read more

Extreme problems with this company. They sent me paid in full letters while a balance was still being carried. Poor bookkeeping practices. Website has for years reported incorrect info. Only way to get current info is to call the office and they cant see what the web site is telling you. Direct pay doesn't show as pending or posted on website. If you set up direct pay you better write it down because you will not see the payment made for perhaps a month after it posted. If your bank updated information monthly your account would report completely inaccurate info. Such is the case with OneMain. Full of excuses but years without a fix. Imagine how you would feel about your bank if direct pay is set to pay on the second, payment due on the fifth, and now being the 20th and the payment still shows due on the web site. Completely inaccurate reporting of loan status. If the web site is this bad, why trust the accounting side? read more
