The worse car loan process I have ever been in. The loan was 23k for a used truck, not a Ferrari. I had already submitted all paperwork to dealership but bank wanted me and my wife to call and do the same, LOL. What a waste of time. Honestly, my home purchase was smoother than this car loan. All My pst car loans were not this complicated. Would not recommend to anyone. Please avoid this bank. Runnnnnnnnnnnn. I agree do not use this company , I only have myself to blame for not paying attention, they claim 36% interest but turns out to be a lot higher then that . The person I talked to said my first payment of 139.00 , 137.00 has gone to interest , I've had this loan 13 months and only 500 has came of my balance , the other 1400 went to interest. Very shady , how can my interest be 36% when she tells me my 3100 loan when all paid off the interest in paying would be 2400 ...... more like 90% . DON NOT USE ONE MAIN! They are super shady. They failed to mention hey would be selling my loan to the highest bidder the same day they acquired it. They also failed to mention the enormous fees that are tagged into the account. $7 a day interest for the life of the loan is a little excessive don't you think? Ridiculous. They were good in the beginning, Very friendly, easy to work with. When I paid off my car loan I found out they didn't retrieve my title. So I ended up having to go through my old car loan company that uses some site called "mytitlesupport.com" Now I had to find that out by calling numerous phone #s. No one told me I had to go to this site to get a lien satisfaction form before I could go to the CA DMV to get my title. It has been one headache after another. It took me 3 attempts to speak with the right DMV person to tell me that the lien satisfaction is what I needed. I should have seen the red flags everytime I registered my car. I noticed that the lien holder on my registration didn't say Onemain, it said HsBC. So when I finally paid the loan off their response was we are sorry but we do not have your title. You will have to obtain it on your own. Looks like when you applied for the loan the title part slip through the cracks. Really? So when I reached out to HSBC they told me they no longer have my title, They said they mailed to Onemain Financial in 2014. So now I'm really frustrated. I need to get my car registered in another state but can't do it without a title. Finally, I spoke to someone at mytitlesupport.com and they told me my title is with Santander which took over the loan in 2008 and the loan was paid off by OneMain in 2014. Now I'm really confused. So I had to request a lien satisfaction from Santander, which is not the name on my title, and had to pay $28.00 to do so. I paid an extra $5 so I could have a faxed copy sent to me. So now we wait and see what the DMV will do when they see that my lien satisfaction say Santander and not HsBC. I will be doing a review on those two too. Sickening and frustrated. read more

Do not use this company! I co-signed for a relative and they call and harass me almost every month trying to get me to make a payment when my relative has ALREADY HAD THE PAYMENT deducted from his bank account via AUTOPAY! I Just found out that they did it again but this time they posted to my credit report, bringing down my score from an 840! Unscrupulous and shady indeed. Now I have to dispute the entry with all three credit bureaus. This kind of behavior is surely illegal, at least until 45 dismantles the CFPB. I'm calling them tomorrow to report this company's practices. read more

To start, everything was ok until I tried paying off my loan balance. I first called a lady named Maria. I gave her my bank account information and routing information to process my 5K+ debt. The money was in the account as of the time she processed the payment, on a Thursday. It takes 3 to 5 business days to process a transaction of this nature so I figured by Monday and Tuesday the balance would be paid off and my account would be debited the amount. My wife received a call from the branch manager, Eddie, saying it did not process, my wife handed my the phone and I questioned him about the other payment. He told me it didn't process and we needed to do another. I got a bad feeling in my stomach and didn't want to give up my debit information to him. I handed the information over to him reluctantly to pay off my loan balance. I received a confirmation number from him and wrote it down and immediately say the debit transaction from One Main Financial processing into my account. We all thought everything was good and we were done with them. No, Eddie then later called my wife a few days later saying the payment didn't process. My wife told them you already took the money so you made a mistake in your system. Low and behold we had a non sufficient funds fee hit our account. Puzzled we reached out to our bank to find out why. One Main tried to pull the amount twice. Fast forward to today. I am sitting in the office arguing with Maria and Eddie and telling them they already took my money and tried to take it twice. I will never ever do any business with them every. I've had a loan with them for 2 years and I'll never borrow money from them again and neither should you so be warned. read more
