It has taken me over 6 months to complete this review. I wanted to wait until I received our album to make an official statement. What I have to say is that Kiwan is....GREAT! We are thoroughly pleased with the results of the pictures, the album, and the wedding video and highlight video. We found One Wedding Photography (OWP) at the Bridal Expo. Weddings are expensive but looking at pictures and watching videos happens long after the wedding and we wanted to make sure we had quality products without having to sell our organs and first born child to pay for it. Pros: +Affordable packages +Kiwan is professional and accommodates our (multiple) requests and revisions +Provides special add-ons +Easy to get a hold of via email, phone call, or stop by during office hours at his store front +has samples of albums at the store, or check out other's photos and videos on his website +offered Bridal Expo special prices Cons: +Couples should share must-have wedding photo ideas and poses with the photographer. How could I forget to tell Kiwan that we are foodies and would love to have pics of the food that was served that night?! +His hand writing is difficult to read. read more

One Wedding Photography - Just a sample of their work - Event Photography Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I Loved working with Kiwan we just finished our engagement shoot...He is so professional amd does exactly what you want (if possible) For the price that you pay for his services, the quality is great. We got photography and videography with same day edit. Other companies were asking for way too much. Kiwan was actually the best priced with awesome work. I booked him as soon as I saw his work with my best friend's wedding, We could not get over how wonderful of a job he did for the same day edit! Like I said, he is super talented in what he does and is willing to work with you (even with your payments and package pricing) Just tell him what you want and he can customize a package for you and he is willing to work with prices. I highly recommend Kiwan. We love our photos, and cannot wait to work with him on our big day! With prior experience with him already on the day of, I know he will not upset us. read more

Very late review. I got so busy after our wedding a little over a year ago. I can't express how glad my husband and I are. We are so happy we got to work with Kiwan. He is such an amazing photographer and has such great customer service. He did our engagement photoshoot, music video/same day edit, and the day of our wedding photoshoot. Our pictures and video came out really beautiful. Kiwan was more than willing to go to places including hiking up diamond head. It was truly a great experience. I would definitely recommend Kiwan! read more

It was a great experience having Kiwan and his team as our wedding videographer! Wedding planning can be stressful, but Kiwan had made it so much easier with excellent communication, straightforwards yet honest advises, impressive working attitude on site and on time delivery for the end product. The video is very lovely and elegant! We all love it. Special thanks to our on site videographer Urara, she was very professional and hardworking! Arrived early and left when our guests started to leave. I would recommend her to anyone! read more

The best wedding photographers ever!!!!!. Kiwan and his staff knew exactly what my daughter wanted for her wedding photographs. She sent him her Pinterest board and he looked at all her photo suggestions. From the getting ready pictures to the dancing at the reception, Kiwan and his staff took pictures continuously for 8 hours. They were easy to work with and knew exactly how to get the best formal pictures as well as those candid shots that make it a personal occasion. They were always there but never in the way. It was all about the bride and groom. Kiwan was not only professional but he seemed really excited about some of the shots he was getting and shared them with the bride and groom immediately. There was a lot of laughter and fun during the shooting. I can't wait to see the photos and video, if it's half as good as I think it will be, it's going to be a treasure for a lifetime. mahalo Kiwan and staff for helping make this a very special day for Christina and Noah read more

I'm a wedding coordinator (on the side for friends and family) and I've had the pleasure of working with one wedding photography a couple of times now. They really go out of their way to get their clients a fair price for services and the guys have all been real professionals. Showing up early/on time, communicating quickly, making sure they get the shots the couple want. Would and do recommend them to anyone looking for wedding photography! read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. I had my wedding in Sept 2014 and that day was great. Kiwan and his team did photography and videography for our outdoor ceremony and reception and made us feel like celebrities. Our experience after the wedding, however, was not so great. It took several months to receive our wedding pictures and video. Although the composition of the photos were nice there didn't appear to be any editing outside of the basic auto adjust. On top of that, our video had super wonky transitions and they even SPELLED MY HUSBAND'S NAME WRONG - his name is Joe :-| What was really irritating was that it took 8+ MONTHS to get our photo album and when it arrived the cover photo was washed out - unlike the photo were sent. Kiwan did re-edit the video (and took two month or so to ship it out) and apologize for the delay in our photo album (he blamed the printing company though other yelp reviewers didn't seem to have any issues...). He also offered to send us two 8x10s of any of the photos he took, but he has yet to deliver on that. Kiwan was responsive via email at first, but lagged once we started having issues with our photos/video and I still have not heard back from him about our 8x10s. I would not recommend One Wedding for videography and would only recommend him for photography if you don't mind little editing and a potentially long wait. read more

We hired One Wedding for our wedding. Kiwan was so easy to work with and went out of his way to accommodate our requests. His pricing is really affordable considering the high quality of product that he puts out. He also provided us with a deal for our engagement photos which turned out great! He is very open to our location shot suggestions and was very adventurous in following us over difficult terrain in order to get the perfect shot - what a sport! At our wedding he didn't miss a moment and his great eye. Thanks so much, One Wedding Photography! read more

We learned about One Wedding Photography at the Bridal Expo. Kiwan called us soon after and we booked him immediately. We were very impressed by all of the photos he showed us of weddings he had shot. Kiwan took both our engagement and wedding photos. Our wedding and ceremony was on Maui and Kiwan had no problem on working with us regarding the logistics of getting him out there. He was very easy to work with, professional, and talented. Our photos and wedding album came out amazing!!! My husband and I highly recommend Kiwan and look forward to working with him in the future read more

My album has finally arrived. Now i can write a review. My wedding was in March 2015, and today, December 2015, nine months later, i have received my album. After waiting for so long, i am happy with my album, but because i did not specifically choose a picture i wanted for my cover page, i was disappointed with the cover picture Kiwan chose. Other than that, my album is perfect! Kiwan is great with his ideas. My wedding pictures came out wonderful. But there were some pictures that were not taken. One, being the most important, was a picture of my family (husband and our two kids). So i have no pictures with just us four, nor did i have any pictures with just me and my two kids. read more

Kiwan and his team were great to work with! With us being in L.A. we took our engagement pictures on Thursday and the wedding was on Saturday. Kiwan was the one that took our engagement pictures and they came out great! He even edited the pictures and sent them to us at 2am so we could review and he could add the ones we picked out to our same day edit. Kiwan's company hires freelance photographers and videographers but they were all great. We had 2 of each and the leads were Bodie and Gabe and I highly recommend them. They were very professional, polite and didn't make us feel like their job was ever the priority. They always worked with us and around what we were doing. It made us feel so great because they had so much energy, especially Bodie that it made the long hot day of getting ready and pictures fly by. You can tell that Bodie really enjoys his job and gets really excited about getting the perfect picture for you. Our same day edit came out great and everyone raved about it after the wedding. I haven't seen the pictures or the video from the wedding but will post another review once we get them. The only negative is that we requested a lot on our photo list and I wish that Kiwan gave us his opinion right away instead of us having to figure out that it was way too much. He did say that he just does what the client wants but with this being our only experience with a photographer we looked to him to step in as the expert. I enjoyed working with Kiwan and his team and would love to have them at another event. read more

We decided a few weeks before our wedding that we wanted video. With only a few weeks to spare, a friend of mine recommended One Wedding Photography. Kiwan responded to our inquiry right away and was so accommodating. On top of that, his prices are very affordable. We were able to meet with him right away and booked him that day. Kiwan gave us some great advice on how to prepare for the day of our wedding to maximize the time we had for photos and video. He even arrived early on the day of our wedding and was ready to go! Although we had a very short and simple wedding, the video that Kiwan created exceeded our expectations. He got the video to us shortly after our wedding and we were at a loss for words when we watched our video. We consider ourselves lucky to have had Kiwan video our wedding. We got married in March and I still watch my wedding video every single day. Thank you Kiwan for making it possible for us to relive our wedding!!!! read more

Thank you One Wedding Photography! One Wedding Photography was an amazing company to work with. They were professional, on time, and very respectful of our wishes. Kiwaw was our main shooter and he was fantastic! He provided great guidance while still allowing us to take shots that felt natural to us. Kiwan responded to emails quickly and was very organized. I haven't seen the final pictures yet but know they will be great. On the day of the wedding, Kiwan showed me several of the images and they looked super. He seemed so excited by the photographs he was taking. Aparently my mother (see below) beat me to this raving review! read more

NEVER USE KIWAN if you don't want an awful experience of working with your photographer for your wedding!!! My wedding was in early 2015. First, Kiwan was rude to my wedding coordinator. He wasn't willing to listen any of my wedding party's or my suggestions during the photographing. He literally said "No, it's ugly, not looking good." After the wedding, I called him to ask if he could edit a few more pictures for me, because all the "edited" pictures he sent me were all automatically adjusted (just the color was changed) by the computer. He replied "yes, sure" over the phone. So, with his advice, I sent an email to him to explain how I want to modify the pictures. That's when the things turned ugly. He replied FIVE emails to criticize me as taking advantage of him (including 3 emails at one night, one by one). He told me I am like a Chinese person who took advantage of FREE SALAD AT PIZZAHUT IN CHINA(literally). I asked Kiwan why he abused me by words, but he refused and insisted talking to my husband, because he said his explanation would make better sense to a MAN! My husband was pissed off when he saw Kiwan's emails. There's another disgusting thing he did. He turned the videographer against us! We loved our videographer and met with him to explain what happened. The videographer felt sorry about us and tried his best to help us. Kiwan NEVER gave me and my husband ANY options, explanations, or advice. Instead, he sent me emails at midnight every day to blame everything on his customer. He pretended to be nice before the wedding and turned to be a person who is very unprofessional and has such an unstable temper. Wedding should be a happy business. Obviously, he is not enjoying it. I definitely don't recommend Kiwan to any bride. read more

We used Kiwan and his staff for our wedding and we very pleased with our video. The DvD is blue ray and amazing...I didn't cry at my wedding but cried while watching the video. It was really awesome to have our day captured forever by quality photographers. Both my husband and I could not have been more pleased with the awesome job they did. They were professional from start to finish. They were punctual, courteous, and on point the entire time. We also received our awesome DVD in a timely manner, it was edited with music, our speeches, and included various angles. We were very very happy with the service and the finished product. read more

Kiwan at One Wedding photography is such a pleasure to work with. We had Kiwan and his videography crew do our wedding at the Hale Koa last year and he was extremely personable, professional, and such an awesome photographer. Because of this, we had to ask him if he was also able to also do a maternity shoot for us as my wife is now pregnant with our first child. While weddings is his primary genre of photography, he's such an excellent photographer and took very beautiful maternity photos of my wife and I. He's super efficient, accountable, and always captures exactly what we want because he always takes the time to listen and adapt to what's most important to his customers. He's an extremely talented photographer and we would highly recommend him for weddings, maternity shoots, and any type of photography. Thanks Kiwan! read more

Big kudos to Kiwan and his team!! OWP was a team of 5 guys, and they were able to capture sooo many photos at different angles of my wedding. The quality of the pics were fantabulous as well. I admit, my wedding package was kinda on the high end but it was worth it, you do get what you paid for. Kiwan and his team captured the most important part of my wedding which was really empasized on my end, was to capture my "father and daughter" dance from begining to end. Not only it was on-point but it was incorporated in the wedding video. What really got our attention was the video process. Same day edit was spectacular, and A LOT of my guests was in aww of the fact that Kiwan and his team was able to show my ceremony highlights hours later at the reception, and in high quality as if they have never seen such be done. I was able to get 2 videos from Kiwan: same day edit and the wedding itself (beginging to end). With the whole wedding video, there were some changes that needed to be done. Kiwan was able to pull off those changes. Not only that, it was done in a matter of days. Not weeks or months. Although my album is not complete due to my end, I was able to see a sample. And I must say, WOW!!!!! He knew what pictures should be the main pic of the page, etc. I highly recommend Kiwan and his team. Instead of "customers is always right," it was "CUSTOMERS ALWAYS HAPPY" Kiwan does what you want vs. him telling you what to do. read more

Kiwan and his assistant Bodie took amazing photos of our wedding out at Ko Olina. They are very easy and fun to work with. The sunset photos with us in them are excellent. Our family and friends have all commented very positively about the photographers we hired for the wedding. Also the engagement photo session came out great and we had a blast shooting it. Kiwan is truly a pro at what he does and I tell all my friends getting married to use him. His studio is in an easy location and the whole process is a breeze. The video crew is also top notch and their work would excite any one. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Kiwan and One Wedding Photography. He was our wedding photographer for our April 2012 wedding and did a great job for such an affordable price and the work was very high quality, something that you'd probably pay 3-4 Grand easily! We found him at the wedding expo and chose him after we compared many other photographers. Kiwan had the best prices I have seen so far. When we booked him, he offered us a free engagement photo session for paying a deposit that night. I told him that we didn't need to engagement photos so he added on a few extra hours to our wedding photo package instead. He was pleasant and easy to work with. He was quick at responding to emails and let us know everything that he needed. He showed up to the event at the time that he agreed to and he captured all of the shots that I requested. The wedding album was included in our package and it was beautiful. He recommended photos that would be great in it, but also let me change it and include the photos that I wanted. The quality of the album was really nice as well. The pages were sturdy and thick and I know this is something that is going to last for a long time. The wedding album was made within a week of submitting my order for it to be made, and within a month from my wedding I had the album already. If you want a wedding photographer that is easy to work with, cheerful, affordable, and the finest quality... choose Kiwan and One Wedding Photography. read more
