*Update Nov 4, 2024* My wife and I have moved to Texas and I have still yet to hear from Jose or have this resolved. The lack of communication and repayment are further proof that this business is not to be trusted. I look forward to being able to resolve this issue. I am still owed 3250. *Update May 30, 2024* I have continued to try and reach Jose, but still no contact. Please beware of this company and their business dealings" *Update April 22, 2024* We have not heard from Jose or anyone from one touch paint to help clear this issue. They have commented here regarding getting this removed but we are still owed 3250. Beware of their lack of communication and ineffective leadership. Communicated directly with Jose numerous times to complete work that was promised to no avail. We ashamedly paid $4000 to initiate work on our home, but when the schedules were pushed week to week, we finished the work ourselves. Whenever I get him on the phone, I get an explanation about how the "person in the office" owes him a calculation of how much to return to us. Because our communication was decent, I let it slide in hopes he would be kind enough to return the funds. I have now attained legal representation to get this squared away. Please beware. Update, Feb 2 Jose communicated they would reimburse us 3250 on Jan 25, under the agreement that I take down this review but we have yet to receive payment. We have continued to message and call with no response. Will not take this down until I am reimbursed. Update Mar 20 To be transparent, we cancelled the contract after we got no reply and no help from the team after the floor demo. The two months of back and forth with Jose made us aware that we were not a priority. We are happy to pay for the work completed. We were quoted $270 for demo of the first floor and I'm accepting $3250 instead of the $3730 we should be reimbursed. Jose called me on February 23 and said he would bring a check on the 1st of March but that I had to wait a month before cashing it. I have yet to receive the post dated check and our messages have gone cold. Updating hopefully so that communication can continue and we can be properly reimbursed. read more

We trusted Jose and this company to paint the interior of our house including ceiling and baseboards. There was no prep work or sanding of the nail holes that were filled, so when I wiped the base boards for the first time all the paint came off. The ceiling around our recess lighting is a nightmare. Jose makes big promises of "being beautiful" and how you need this and that, only to never answer when you have a problem. I wish we would have looked at this site before hiring him. We were scammed. Jose is extremely personable, responsive, hard working and reliable. My experience with Jose in no way match other negative reviews on here. He has called back quickly, shown up on time, sends pictures during the work and cleans up after himself. This company is nothing but a bunch of frauds. Jose misrepresented being able to do bathroom, hardwood floors, trim work. The one worker wasn't being paid by Jose so he took a hammer to my tiles and smashed them. The painting of the condo was never finished, I am now out over $12000.00 and forced to file a police report, file with the state against his license, and Ofcourse sue the company because they don't respond. Also my neighbor hired Jose (owner of one touch) to repaint their kitchen and he did half the work and walked off the job. He is not licensed to do anything but paint and I wouldn't even hire them for that. Now I have the Jupiter police, my attorney involved and out thousands of dollars in materials because of this company. RUN! Jose will try and get 50% deposit upfront, calling non stop. I wish I could have seen reviews sooner so that I would not have hired ****Jose Ortiz from One Touch Paint out of West Palm Florida**** The problems start after you give him a deposit for jobs. He is very slow to finish work and once completed, if your lucky.... his subcontractors let you know that they have not been paid by Jose. This is not acceptable business especially if satisfied with the work completed. After confronting Jose, he has so many excuses it is hard to keep track. When this happened, I wanted to believe him as to why he hadnt paid and continued to give him deposit for 2 more jobs (roof/balcony & painting). He said the subcontractor did not do a good job on another property and it is costing him money to fix the job so that is why he didn't pay him yet. I believed Jose and gave him another job and asked that the sub be appropriately compensated. I have paid Jose a total of $14,950 for all deposits for work to be performed (painting, tile and balcony/roof repairs). The tile was $6,000 leaving $8,950 for deposits paid towards work not yet completed (painting and balcony/roof repair). Jose has had my deposits for painting and roof repair since September and has not shown up at the house in a over a month to do anything. I call him every single day all times of the day and he ignores my calls or will text back that his painters will be there but they never show up. His painter started painting in late September and showed up a couple times then contacted us to let us know that the reason he hadn't come back to finish painting was because guess what?????? Jose again had not paid this other person for any of the work he did. I've called Jose on all 3 phones lines at all times of the day and night as he would say he would call me back late because he was taking classes and couldnt talk. All 3 lines now go directly to voicemail. Jose has $9,000 of deposits from me for work that he has no intention on ever completing. Sending all my calls directly to voicemail and not calling back. The (balcony/roof job) I gave him a 4000 deposit for roof repair with permits. When I contacted him to say that I keep looking on town website and see that a permit has not been opened, he would say it was all set and they have the permit. Finally I confirmed with the town that a permit was not open and I requested that the deposit be refunded so that I could hire someone else for that job. After begging and pleading with Jose he sent me $1000 of the $4000 (given for the roof/balcony) and he would send the rest in a couple days. This was over 2 weeks ago and Jose has not sent me any more money. He said he had another job and was waiting to get paid and would pay the rest of the deposit back when he was paid. Jose tries to buy himself time and then goes unresponsive. Where is the money I gave him????? Why do I have to wait for a refund on a job that he was unable to do????? Jose has $8000+ now of deposits that he has and now will not take my phone calls even after promising many times to refund. In addition to the roof, he has a $4500 deposit for paint and has not paid the previous painter who has walked off the job with one ceiling in a room painted. All 3 lines go straight to voicemail when I try to call him. He is a scam artist and keeps getting away with stealing customers deposits. DO NOT HIRE JOSE ORTIZ FROM ONE TOUCH PAINT - He will steal your money. If he does complete a job - he will not pay the subcontractors. He runs a ponzi type scheme as I have learned from other victims where he finishes a small job and then collects deposits to only disappear. We are collectively taking legal action, reporting to the attorney general and local news as there have been many persons affected by his scam. I will be just fine with this loss of money but I am sharing this so that someone else doesn't fall victim to this professional thief. Interestingly, Jose told me he was at church many times when I was trying to call him.
