We've used One Stop Decorating for several years for our window coverings. We've slowly migrated from mini blinds and larger blinds to plantation shutters throughout the house. This is the quintessential family owned small business that really connects with their customers and provides excellent customer service and quality products at reasonable prices. Our most recent service was for the installation of three sets of plantation shutters in two bedrooms, and to reinstall an automatic shade in a skylight in the sitting area of our master bedroom suite after we had our popcorn ceilings removed and replaced with a textured, knock down ceiling. Brian very efficiently and professionally handled the shade reinstallation. He did us the favor of checking the battery power, as that is how the shade operates. He installed the new batteries that I provided him, saving me the task of doing this later. Meanwhile, Lucas was installing the frames for the plantation shutters, after which Brian assisted with the installation. Lucas, too, was very efficient and professional, taking care to position the shutter frames such to avoid my having to do any paint touch ups. The shutter installation went flawlessly. Purchased several plantation shutters for several large bay windows. I ended up with Hunter Douglas as my research shows if you can get them installed correctly, they last forever... I honestly was worried as bay windows with plantation shutters are hard to get in correctly with the seams lined up. Lucas did the installation and was fantastic! Do not do business with this company, learn from our mistake. They will try to sell you on how professional they are, but they're anything but that. Inexperienced installer tore up our brand new concrete patio trying to install outdoor shades on our covered patio. Salesperson Brandon failed to communicate instructions correctly, then refused to answer his phone because it was his day off and he was golfing. We paid over $2100 for 2 shades that don't function properly due to faulty install. Store owner will not stand behind their product, they gave bungees from Amazon with plastic hooks that broke 2nd time using it. Installation was defective, destroying our property and owner refuses to give refund or make it right. Their solution was to get a decorative rock or tie down to outdoor fireplace to put there and attach it to. No thanks, we paid for a quality product to be professionally installed and they did not provide that. Don't waste your time or money here read more

Last summer I purchased many rolls of wallpaper from your store on 135th. and Metcalf. The two women who worked there were so helpful. I even wrote an excellent review. Kat, who worked there was so kind to me. She even gave me her cell number. After I finished buying paper, I called her, as she asked. She wouldn't even return my call. I felt like she was kind to me until I finished my purchases there. If she still works there, I would not feel comfortable going back to the store. read more

My wife and I bought new window coverings from Penneys. That experience was most unsatisfactory so we decided to replace some of them. We chose One-Stop Decorating to replace a number of the Graber window coverings with Hunter Douglas (miniblinds and cell blackout shades) and to install a pull-across shade on our deck door. From our very first in-store contact (Justin) to on-site evaluation and advice (Nicole) to installation (Brian) and follow-up, our experience with One-Stop was excellent. All the people we dealt with were knowledgeable and patient. Penneys had told us it would take 6 to 8 weeks to get our shades. One-Stop delivered the shades in just 4 weeks. And, their price was competitive. In fact, their price was much better than the price that Penneys offered to make good the shades that they had screwed up. We are extremely satisfied with the results. I highly recommend One-Stop. One further note. When Penney's representative came to our house, she offered only Graber. I brought a shade in to be repaired. It was done quickly ( two weeks) and very reasonable consider freight. Not only was the repairman prompt but he was accompanied by one of the owners. They worked together to troubleshoot my problem and soon had me up and running.
