After the…read moreinitial treatments and follow ups, there was not much more western medicine can offer besides rehabilitation. One of her friends suggested acupuncture, so we gave it a try. Frankly, I was skeptical about how effective it would be. I called and inquired for more information. The front desk answered the phone, patiently answered all my questions, and made an appointment. At the initial consultation, The doctor explained that stroke treatments are most effective within a month of the onset. Since it's just a been little over a month for my mom, he thought we should start her treatments aggressively at the rate of 4 times per week. After 3 weeks, there were noticeable improvements in her memory and speech pattern. We continued treatments for my Mom's other health issues as well. One thing I should note is that the doctor is very focused and task oriented. You need to ask him your questions or let him know about your concerns, not just waiting for him to speak to you. My mom's condition continue to improve under the doctor's care. We are very grateful to have found him and would highly recommend his service to anyone.

Dr. Hifai is wonderful! I find the beds helpful to get my body relaxed before adjustment. I've added massage before for even better healing. I realize everyone's mileage will vary with treatment, but I will tell you, Jocelyn is an amazing, emphatic listener who tries to delve into the root of the issue. I have been dealing with neck-shoulder-bicep pain for a long time. I even fell in March, causing a bone spur to become a bone fragment that locks my shoulder. She knows that things like mood, stress and interpersonal relationships can trigger an inflammatory response, and she has helped me become aware of all the elements that manifest as body pain for me. She does an assessment every visit to figure out the best therapy. We have gotten the pain down to 2/10 for a few weeks now! I did go to her with a sciatica issue this last visit, but I left in as much discomfort as when I got there. (The next day I went to my usual Ocean Acupuncture and Massage in Oceanside and they fixed it in 1 visit. For some reason, needles in my right hand and foot fix the left side of my back- Jocelyn put needles directly in the spot that hurt). Overall, I am so happy to have this place in my rotation for my pain management modalities and I will continue to seek treatment here.
