Chris tapped between my toes with a pointed object numerous times at different pressures and different lengths of time which made a needle go up and down on an old looking machine. It was uncomfortable and the needle moved higher or lower along with the differing pressure he applied. Hardly scientific. 'Results' were interpreted by Chris and not shown in any actual scientific or unbiased way, and I have no confidence in what he was saying. Everything he said, I had already informed him about, he merely confirmed information I had already given him and told me nothing new, and explained nothing. He also spoke of other patients to me, demonstrating no confidentiality in this treatment.

I cannot fault the surgery led by an excellent fellow Mr Magee who did my ops, one as an emergency, the second to prevent a similar problem as the first. I am very pleased with the results and back up. I have lost parts of two left toes but still have both feet ! The doctors and nurses were great but I have to record my concern at the weekend nursing staff who were not there when needed. In my ward we had eight men and some of us required urine receptacles...We buzzed our buzzers and no one came. This just didn't happen only the once over the weekends we were in. We were left for ages. None of them could take blood properly and looking behind our beds we found a considerable amount of fluff and dirt. As a test I dropped a white mint behind my bed...It stayed there for THREE weeks before being swept up. The cleaner only went round the front of the beds. Hospitals in general are struggling with problems they make themselves. Bring back Matrons !!!
