I found this acupuncture clinic through my health insurance company's website after moving to the…read morearea, and have been communicating with their staff about my health insurance benefits for *two months* without any clarity. Communication has been slow and frustrating. As a healthcare provider myself, I understand the challenges of dealing with health insurance, but I've never in my life had a more frustrating experience in confirming whether or not they can accept my insurance. I've already determined that my insurance provides unlimited acupuncture treatments with a small copay, and I want to use those benefits, given what health insurance costs. I've been given message after message suggesting that I contact my insurance again for clarity ~ and my insurance has already told me that it's up to the provider to determine if they can accept my insurance. My insurance even provided info to me about getting the clinic to complete a single case agreement if they were in fact deemed out-of-network, and the clinic is "not equipped" to do that. It seems clear to me that they either don't know how health insurance works, or just don't want to deal with it at all. At this point, I have given up on using this clinic ~ the attitude of *just come on in and we'll see how it goes with your insurance, and if we're not in-network you'll have to pay full fees* seems a little too disorganized and economically privileged. I've never had any other issues with a provider determining whether they're in-network with my insurance or not, and the whole situation seems quite unprofessional. Definitely not recommended.

I've been seeing Dr. Coffey for almost ten years now. On two separate occasions, she was able to…read morediagnose and correct problems that my family doctor could not. She also is very skilled at diagnosing allergy problems and since we began seeing her, my family has not been on antibiotics for ear infections nor strep. The first time I went, I had shoulder pain. My doctor could not find a source (nor cure) for the pain and I lived with it for almost a year. She adjusted my spine, but then spent a good bit of time working with my shoulder. As, she adjusted my arm, I could feel (and hear) my shoulder moving back into place and the pain was gone. She said, "No wonder you were in so much pain, your shoulder was slightly out of it's socket." She had me come back a few times because I had a cartilage build up but once that was taken care of, I was completely pain free. The second time, I went back because my neck was stiff. My doctor advised rest and heat/cold packs. When the stiffness continued, I saw Dr. Coffey. After an adjustment, she told me the stiffness was from allergies. She showed me how to clear my sinuses, throat and eustachian tubes and I was able to move my neck freely for the first time in a week. My small boys had frequent ear infections, but since I learned from Dr. Coffey how to keep everything flowing, they have not had ear infections, nor have we needed to be on antibiotics. I have also seen her for running injuries (problems with my IT band) and ribs that have moved forward and pinch nerves. Each time I see her, I leave feeling MUCH better than when I came. She does get sidetracked easily, so you never know how long an appointment is going to take, and I recommend that everyone politely decline the $25.00 "Zyto" tool. But overall, she is a talented chiropractor, amazingly skilled at diagnosing and treating injuries and worth the wait. I highly recommend her!

I asked what this was and was told that it was the Zyto Scan. When I asked what it did, Dr Coffey referred me to a pamphlet which was confusing and made no sense. Here's a link to read about this magical machine: http://www.devicewatch.org/reports/zyto/overview.shtml During my 4 hour long visit, I spent a lot of time by myself in the room. I watched as Dr Coffey browsed facebook and requested my friendship in front of me. I was given the "hard sell" on the Paleo Caveman Diet. I was left alone with Paleo cookbooks and was then told that things would be better once she got me on this diet. I was also directed to forgo my antidepressant because as she put it, "You don't have a Wellbutrin deficiency." The worst part was when I was checking out, I was THEN informed health insurance doesn't cover the Zyto Scan and had to pay $25 out of pocket.

I've had intermittent back problems for a few years, and every 3-6 months, I find I need chiropractic work. In Colorado, where I'm from, it's pretty straightforward to find care, but here, I had no idea where to go, or especially who to trust. Dr. Tickel put me at ease immediately. I really appreciated that he explained each maneuver and/or therapy during the session. He was very compassionate, but very knowledgeable at the same time. I'm a scientist, and I like to know that someone knows their stuff. My back was so much better after the first visit, and after the second, was completely back to normal. I'm very grateful - I wasn't sure I could find a really terrific provider on the very first visit.
