Maybe it's my first time in Italy and in general this country has good produce and ingredients. But for me, some items surpasses the typical crappy, salty airport food. Grilled eggplant with basil and olive oil, mozzarella, cakes and vegetable dishes were fresh, tasty and delicious. Bare in mind, after 20hrs of travel and still going, I'm just happy to see fresh veggies. My Aperol spritz, great! It's not a fancy lounge, but it hits the spot for my priority pass usage. TL;DR - unexpectedly decent drink and food selection. Don't bother coming up if you want just want to sit or work.

Plenty of seating, a wide variety of European newspapers, food and a full bar service await. It definitely beats No.1 lounge in Gatwick which is crazy busy and full of kids. I get the impression that the Piedmonte lounge is only for those with Business class tickets or relevant level airline loyalty cards, not pay and enter like Gatwick. Sounds snobbish but if you want peace, quiet and not to have kids running around then this is the place to come before your flight. Clean, tidy and great service then if I'm back here (hopefully business class!) then I'd happily hang out here pre-flight.
