My son has been enjoying his classes here at One Martial Arts. The instructors make the curriculum age appropriate and fun for the kids and parents are also very actively involved, which makes it more engaging for the child as well. There is a good balance of both physical movement as well as teaching the kids the skills to be calm and more focused. I would definitely recommend One Martial Arts to anyone who has a child. Professor Beliso not only teaches martial arts, but also teaches life skills that our children need to protect themselves and to be better people in general. My son is four years old and has been enrolled in their classes for about two months now. I can honestly say that this is one of the best decisions we have ever made. He is learning so much while being reinforced to try his best. The entire staff is amazing! Everyone honestly cares for each child and teaches them the way they learn best. Both our boys love coming and adore all the instructors My son had been attending for almost 1 yr. although we have encountered some challenges with my sons ability to have constant focus in class the staff is always kind and patient. They are full of encouragement and a positive attitude. We love one martial arts and all the advice and life skills they have provided for our family. The owner is really nice and seems to really understand kids. I did mention to him my child has experienced some speech delays (and honestly I wasn't sure if this place was a good fit) but he really understood where I was coming from (as he experienced it as a parent too) and how to translate what I was telling him back to his staff so they know how to handle the situation if anything happens. I also like how it's more about life skill educating. My child has learned a lot about strangers and bullies (and unfortunately dealt with some bullies last year in kindergarten) at this camp which I really appreciated. But if you ask my child, her best memory was breaking the wood plates in half. read more

I started with the virtual kickboxing classes during the start of Shelter in place and it has helped me overcome my post partum depression and has given me something to look forward to in my daily routine. This review is for the summer camp program. My son absolutely loves this place! It is a very active camp that keeps him busy all day and by the time I pick him up he's always so excited to tell me all about it. The other day he told me i picked him up too early and still wanted to stay, so I know he's having fun. He earns badges that he loves showing off and the staff they have helping the kids are always so sweet and greet us with a smile. We enrolled our son in a trial class in September and it was honestly one of the best decisions we've made as parents. During that very first class, we could see how enthusiastic and engaged the professors are and how they incorporate real life lessons into each class. They provide a ton of schedule options, both virtually and in person, and are flexible and responsive. They also offer 15 minute 1:1 sessions as part of the membership and those have proven really helpful. Our 5 year old has thrived in the program so we enrolled our 7 year old daughter too. Truly an unique place for kids to foster life skills through martial arts and compassion. My daughter likes all her instructors here. She went from a super shy kid to somebody who has a voice. I truly believe the bonds she made with some of the instructors here will stay with her forever. K'waun was awesome in helping plan and get it all together...all we had to do was show up with food/goodie bag for our guests! By the way this was our 5th time here...each and every time we have had a bday here everyone is great with kids, super friendly/welcoming & really goes above/beyond to make sure your children have a great time. What's even better, you'll get exhausted kids and an exercise session for them. Their dojo is also always immaculate as well! A+ I would recommend for anyone wanting to do any themed party, we chose Godzilla, which was very hard, but the dinosaur substitute they chose was just as cool & matched our goodies! PARENTS PLEASE BEWARE. MY SON WAS FRESH OUT OF PRESCHOOL AND PUT IN A DODGE BALL GAME WITH 7,8, and 9 YEAR OLDS AND GOT STRUCK IN THE FACE BY A BIGGER AND OLDER KID. APPARENTLY THE OWNER DOESN'T SEE ANY PROBLEM OR CONCERN WITH COMBINING REALLY SMALL CHILDREN WITH BIGGER KIDS WHO ARE TWICE THEIR SIZE IN DODGE BALL GAMES AND REFUSES TO BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE POORNESS IN CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM HIS STAFF. I am actually pretty pissed off with this establishment. I enrolled my 5 year old in their summer camp this week and their staff had these dodge ball games going on. What my 5 year old tells me is that bigger kids were playing with him and other smaller kids and the big kids threw one straight to his face. I asked him if that hurt him he told me it hurt a lot. I asked him what did the teachers say he said nothing. Wtf kind of activities do you guys have going on with these kids without their parents around? This is not award winning service. It's commons sense not to combine big kids with kindergarteners in a dodge ball game! I will never take my child back here again. Shame on the staff and for the owner for allowing this to happen under your roof. On top of that their staff was extremely rude to me the Tuesday I enrolled him. I came in about 15 mins earlier then what they had advertised their summer program to be to complete his registration. Hands down one of the most unprofessional and disorganized situations I ever had to go though. Please don't give excuses to people that your staff is young. I've been in the workforce since I was 14 and new better not to be rude to paying customers. My advice? Stick to teaching martial arts. Not summer camp programs. It takes real professionals to manage children of all different age groups in a summer program. Make sure your staff is thoroughly trained and not just free styling procedure on the go. Make sure they are fully prepared. Make sure you have a professional on board to supervise. I am moving my son to a real summer camp we are never coming back here read more

The program teaches kids a new, positive theme every week. One week it may be "Family", then the following week "Respect". My daughter has been taking classes at One Martial Arts since March and she loves it! The classes teach important lessons in life and the Professor (owner) really connects with the children and keeps them engaged in the activities. What I am most impressed about is the amazing birthday parties they give for their members! Kim (owner), transforms the back room into a perfect party venue. She uses her own decorations and everything matched from personalized birthday banner to plates, cups and water bottle labels. Kim is so meticulous and is such a perfectionist that she could actually be a great professional party planner if she wanted to. For my daughter's birthday party, we chose the Big Hero 6 theme. Kim had the place decorated when we got there and everything looked perfect. She had a standup board of Hiro and Baymax in the corner, a personalized birthday banner with my daughter's name was on the wall and she made table centerpieces from balloons to look like Baymax. I was so impressed with her decorations! As soon as we arrived to the party, Professor and his team started helping us bring our supplies and helped us set up the food table. At the end of the party, they cleaned the room and helped us distribute the party favors. We really felt important the entire time we were there and most importantly, they made our daughter Sophia feel important and made her feel like she was the star of her party! I was a little worried that I had too many kids for the party, but they really managed it well. They kept the kids busy and had the parents involved in some of the activities too! The kids had a blast. Many people told us it was a great party as they were leaving. Sophia's grandparents told us it was probably the best birthday party of Sophia's that they've attended. They said they had so much fun watching the kids and the parents! One of the parents commented to us, "I don't know who had more fun, me or the kids". Needless to say, it was an amazing party! I've been attending ONE Martial Arts in Millbrae for about 4 years now, and I am truly in a happy place, mentally and physically! When the pandemic began in March 2020, ONE went into VIRTUAL CARDIO KICKBOXING!! All I could say is I am so grateful for Professor Brannon and his staff! I feel stronger mentally and physically than ever. I'm more fit all around; my balance, core strength and endurance. The instructors motivate and put me into 'beast mode'!!
