The environment here is very family oriented and welcoming, unlike some martial arts facilities that might give a sense of intimidation. A lot of the kids who train here have friends or parents who train as well and despite it being a family oriented environment there are competitors who train here as well. Since opening they've had multiple seminars, guest speakers, in-house tournaments and participation in regional/national competitions. Being in Law Enforcement has always been tough for training because of shift work and/or injuries. Because of work and re-locating around the County, I trained at five other jiu jitsu schools. The one main thing that brought me back to the Stronghold was the feeling of family. The vibe all the way around here is awesome. It's definitely a great place to train if you're law enforcement. Uneducated and uninformed lead instructors singled out a child publicly for a little red spot on kiddo and send them home. I'd like to point out that the instructor isn't a medical professional/practitioner nor are they medically qualified to diagnose a child and worse suggest medication to resolve something that hasn't been medically diagnosed. Overstepping boundaries with children are a no-no in my book. If this business has to address medical concerns. Have medical staff. That way HIPAA is not violated. Which is where I will also be reporting this incident. Lastly this didn't happen to my child but the child it did happen to was extremely embarrassed and discouraged from returning. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else's child so I'm speaking up. GET MEDICAL STAFF IF YOU WANT TO MAKE MEDICAL DEMANDS!!
