This place is better than therapy sessions! Muay Thai, Boxing, Jui Jitsu and personal training. They have it all... They treat you like family the minute you walk up. This is a professional MMA training center and that's exactly what you get...professional training coaches. I joined because I wanted to learn self defense. I was nervous at first but there has never been a day I didn't feel out of place. A year later I have learned so much and can't think of a bette place to go to. The people are genuinely kind, the place is super clean. And...they have a huge women restroom and changing room when you train for jui jitsu which is a huge plus. I've been going to Gamebred the last couple of years, and it's my favorite gym of all the ones I've trained at. All of the coaches have great credentials (BELLATOR/PFL), and the owner/head coach Herman Terrado is also the star pupil of the legendary Baret Yoshida, so you know you're getting your moneys worth from people with lots of experience. My 4 year old Rick attends their Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu classes. My sons attention span isnt all there...he loses focus easily and makes the coaches work harder. Somehow the coaches are super patient and beyond helpful with my little one. And in just some weeks my son has learned so much it impresses me whenever i go see him grapple around with the other kids. Writing this review after an entire year of being apart of this community. Let's start from the beginning. 14 months ago. I googled several gyms in the Chula Vista area, inquiring about a boxing style class for my child. Of the 4 messages sent. Gamebred was the only gym to respond and they simply said, come check us out, let your child try the classes out for a week to see if this is the right fit for you. Well after that first class we were hooked. In this year my child has gained another family and a type of support that I believe can only be achieved in this type of setting. All of the coaches are wonderful. They are patient, well versed in their field and they truly care about helping each child growth physically and mentally. The first time I came to this gym I was impressed on how well kept and clean the facility is. It's a 2 story MMA gym that has lots of mat space and punching bags. They even have a huge boxing ring inside! When I first walked in, I was immediately greeted by the employees at the front who were very professional and friendly. I saw on their schedule that they teach boxing, muay thai and jiu jitsu for adults and kids all throughout the day. They also have personal training! I been training with Christian. He is a great personal trainer. He played a large part of my weight loss transformation. He is an excellent teacher. I've learned a lot by training with him including how to exercise correctly and effectively. He always explains each workout thoroughly and gives rationales on why certain exercises are being implemented. He always provides great information about diet/nutrition. Overall cool guy, very humble and easy to talk to. He is very patient, pays close attention and listens to his clients needs/goals. He pushes me hard during my workouts and really helps me step out of my comfort zone which makes me feel more confident in the gym and overall much better in my fitness journey! read more

My wife and I both train at gamebred training center and we truly enjoy the atmosphere. We both train Boxing w/Nestor Flores and do restorative stretching in Mark Elliott's yoga class. I also train jiu-jitsu w/Herman Terrado and all of these gentlemen are extremely knowledgeable and technical in their teaching methods. They keep you engaged and will meet you where you're at to help you better improve yourself, on and off the mats. PS the facility is also very clean and they have plans to keep improving it. I've been going to Gamebred since they opened and I absolutely love everything about it! From the actual workout, learning styles, trainers, and people it makes working out fun. I look forward to going in there every day that I go! Being a female who isn't super experienced (I've only been boxing for a year) it can be intimidating doing boxing or muay thai classes but Nestor and Herman make you feel extremely comfortable; as well as the regular attendees! I'm glad I found Gamebred, located in Eastlake. I used to train a few years ago and have not been able to find a good boxing/mma gym with quality trainers. Right off the bat the coaches Herman, Mark, and Nestor were very welcoming and I can tell they really care about their client's progress in learning. Nestor the boxing/striking coach has a passion for it and it shows, they really take the time to make sure you get the technique down, something the other gyms that I have visited lacked. I love this place! I come in everyday excited, and the boxing trainer Nestor is ready to get in work. What I like about it is that everyday we do something different and he is always aware of everyone's improvement in boxing 101! All the staff is positive and knows what they are doing! Best gym in San Diego! This has been one of the best investments I've made. Whatever level you are at you will be well taken care of here. This is the best place to get in shape, actually learn a new skill, build your confidence, and surround yourself with some good people. Gamebred is the best work out experience I have ever had. I decided to try out their free week, and signed up after my second class. Their boxing classes are extremely welcoming to beginners. Everyone is really supportive and Nestor(boxing coach) always gives pointers on how to improve. They also offer other types of classes with trainers that are all experts in their fields. The staff here is really helpful and welcoming. I started here not too long ago, without any experience and they have all made me feel really comfortable along the way. I've been training with Christian and he is beyond great. He puts me through a good workout while learning a lot. My son also trains here with Nestor and he loves it. Initially, I signed up because of how convenient the location is to my place. I looked online and reviewed their training/classes schedule and was please they offered Muay Thai training 5 days a week and also during the day/lunch time. The facility is a multi level gym with tons of mat space, banana bags, thai pads,etc. Cleanliness is big for me and the staff stay on top of it. The bathrooms are spotless and they have a shower too....a plus if you gotta work right after class. Although I personally dont train BJJ, I have witnessed and observed the classes and I'm impressed by the patience and methodical way of teaching technique. I've trained at other places and all were well and good but what I like is the positive, supportive, welcoming vibe I get from the staff. This place is amazing! I've been training with one of their employees (Christian) for some time now and it's been all kinds of good. His workouts and training sessions are intense and he'll make sure to get the best of you. My 6yr old son has also trained here, with Coach Nestor. Nestor is a very patient and inspiring coach for the kids. I don't think I've ever met a coach as dedicated to his young students as him. Mark, another employee is also very welcoming and helpful. He keeps the equipment and gym very clean and sanitary. Even the owner, Herman, is a great guy. I've had the chance to speak with him a few times and he was very friendly. He even let me take a picture with him. You might ask, why would you take a picture with the owner? Well that's because it is Herman Terrado! I have been training here at Gamebred since March and have loved every minute of it. I was looking for a Gym to help me lose some weight with an affordable rate. I decided to pick Gamebred because for one it is different from what I have been doing, and Two I wanted to get back into Boxing and learn some Muay Thai and Jujitsu. In about a month or so I lost about 20lbs. just with the workouts itself. I didn't change my eating habits or anything. These work outs/ classes are exactly what I was looking for. Very challenging, but doable. Let's just say that this is the first time I leave a Gym Drenched in sweat. Other than that, the instructors are awesome and are more than happy to help you out if you get lost. The atmosphere is great, the place is very clean, and you will learn something new every day. I am so happy that I found this place. It allows me to lose weight, get an awesome work out in, and learn new techniques form real fighters, all while having fun.
