Make sure they register your HVAC!…read more They installed an A/C unit for me in April of 2021 and Since December 2024 I have attempted to contact them to arrange and appointment for a possible warranty repair or at least a Service call. In December I had a different HVAC company out for a service, since Home Air Defender was not returning calls and the other HVAC company stated the unit was not registered and has no warranty and I would need to pay for the parts and all labor. I decided to contact the original installer which is Home Air Defender to see if there was a warranty and if not, why wasn't it ever registered. And if it was registered it would be within the limited warranty period. After several calls and messages left. I was able to get a hold of a woman who stated that she was a partner and would put me in though with the owner (Ralph) since he did the install. The owner did contact me and I sent him text messages of the pictures model/serial number he asked for so he could check on the warranty. Since then, 7 weeks ago he stopped responding. Since it was relatively cool outside for the time, I didn't worry about it too much as i'd just wait for Ralph to contact me back for 4 weeks. I decided to start calling his office 2 weeks ago to get an appointment through them, in which they state they would reach out to Ralph for me. Since, then as of Feb 7th, the office no longer picks up my phone calls nor does Ralph respond form his cell phone number. All calls go to the answering service.

They found ALOT wrong with it of course would need $6,100 to replace it. A well know company too, shame on them. A friend recommended Ralph. He came out and looked it over and ended up replacing the capacitor (it had 2 smaller non factory) and a hard start. He replaced it with the factory capacitor for less than $200 and low and behold the AC worked just fine. This was in July it is now November and still running fine. His honesty and willingness to inform us of everything he was doing was a light at the end of an expensive tunnel. We keep his cards with us so that we can help others in need. Just call Ralph, the "Leader of Integrity" in his industry. As for us, we won't call anyone else.
