I went to The Zone to cancel my membership and was shocked to learn that I had apparently been…read morepaying for two memberships since approximately April 2025. I immediately explained that I had never authorized The Zone to withdraw money from my bank account to pay for my husband's membership. In fact, I was present when my husband canceled his membership. When I asked for an explanation regarding these charges, I did not receive a satisfactory answer. I was then asked to sign an electronic pad to cancel my membership, but I could not see the document I was being asked to sign. I specifically expressed concern that signing something I could not read might waive or affect my right to dispute the unauthorized charges. Another representative, Carla, became involved and continued insisting that I sign. I repeatedly asked to see the document first. When I finally requested that it be printed, I discovered that the agreement did, in fact, contain language that could affect my ability to dispute charges. Later in the evening I received an email from management, Kyle Stine. He advised that because I timely paid both accounts my membership is canceled immediately. He did not address the facts that monies were being removed from my bank account without authorization. I admit that I was angry that the staff did not consider unauthorized withdrawals as stealing. I was also angry that Carla insisted I sign a document without seeing it. It is sad because the gym prides itself as being a community gym and had no problem dismissing a customer who has been supportive of the organization for many years. Unauthorized bank withdrawals is something that should concern all staff and management. It is very sad when the hometown gym takes financial advantage of it's members. I found the entire experience extremely concerning. No customer should be pressured to electronically sign a document they cannot see or read, particularly after raising a dispute concerning charges to their bank account. I am requesting that The Zone investigate how and why my account was charged for a second membership, provide documentation showing where I supposedly authorized those charges, and refund any amounts that were withdrawn without my authorization. I strongly encourage anyone dealing with a membership cancellation or billing dispute here to carefully read every document before signing anything.

I coach volleyball at a high level and can definitely recognize good coaches, and Joey/Jessica really impressed. The facility itself was beautiful and the environment was so friendly. We didn't know anything about boxing coming in and never felt an ounce of judgement our entire time there. We felt so welcome! Cannot stress enough how great this place is and would recommend it to ANYONE looking to box or even workout, because they have programs for that as well! The gym itself is nothing special to look at. It's kind of like a beat up, but comfortable, pair of shoes. The building its in is in need of a paint job, much of the free weights and machines are outdated, and the cardio room smells a bit moldy. The locker rooms are small and a bit musty. Still, it has a charm and appeal to me that I can't put my finger on. Kind of reminds me of the old-school hardcore gyms I used to train at in my past. I did notice they recently added some new machines to go along with the line of equipment already there. The upstairs room has a load of free weights, benches, racks, and other equipment. Another room on the ground floor features all the leg machines, squat racks, and raquetball courts. Another room has a good amount of cardio machines. Also has a room for classes, and an outdoor play area for the kids and day care. Mixed group of people of all fitness levels seem to work out here, and staff is pleasant.
