So my partner and I were in search for a GSD puppy for our home to be trained as a family protection and companion dog. After I found K-9 Specialist online and had one conversation with Libor I knew that this was exactly what we were looking for! It was a new experience getting a puppy from a far distance and having to fly to get her but let me tell you I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Libor and Petr truly have a passion the dogs and a passion for the breed. We picked up Sasha in early February of 2022 she is 10 weeks old now and one of the most intelligent puppies I have ever worked with. She is already able to perform a list of commands such as sit, down, place, shake, stay, rollover, and next is speak. If you dive deep into learning about GSD you will find that the intellectual characteristics are passed down genetically. Libor's GSD are some of the smartest around I can positively say from being at the location and spending some time with Petr! I'm also always available to speak about my experience through email or a phone call! Thank you Libor! I will edit this soon with updates!

Unfortunately I did not do my due diligence in googling this breeder as I found this posting a bit too late.

I came to Ocala from Chicago with a high standard for daycare, training, and boarding needs for my…read morepup. After visiting multiple facilities and even a few individuals to do "meet & greets", we were thrilled to find the best option for all three needs was with the same team - Procyon. This review is focused specifically on the day training program. Mimi attends DAY TRAINING 2x/week. What has she learned? To SIT and WAIT at the door when it's opened instead of charging through it (picture spilling soda on yourself, the leash slipping out of your hand, her running all the way to the street) - she usually even sits without me asking. To sit in the backseat of the car in her carseat. When I brought her to Procyon she wouldn't ride anywhere but my lap - even when I was driving (yea, I know - not safe). If I tried to use the carseat, she would cry the entire time and jump out of the chair. HEEL - her heel when we walk is much improved - she used to pull like a sled dog! She's more comfortable around strangers from field trips they take. PLACE - critical for us when the doorbell rings. (We're still working on doorbell manners!) She's got a solid "high five!" too, which we use often with strangers because she prefers it to them petting her. It's been a great experience thus far, as have the boarding and daycare. I highly recommend Procyon. PS - Mimi is famous for her "resting sad face"!

Ok, so here's the dealio on this business…read more.... It's known as PAC Dog Training. Ashley, is the owner and trainer. She lives near Mount Dora. BUT, she travels to you! Let me say that again, she travels to you. She can come to your home, meet you at a dog park, or anywhere your dog is having issues. She is the best! Not only does she travel to you, she brings her own treats for your babies and her price is so reasonable!!! She charges you by the hour but she isn't crazy expensive. I also like the fact that I wanted her to come a few times a week and she actually told me that my dogs didn't need that much training and that once a week or every other week would be fine for them. WOW! I found her on Thumbtack....It's a consumer service for finding and hiring local professionals. Thumbtack allows service providers and consumers to find each other and negotiate jobs online. I was looking for a dog trainer to come to my house. I received 4 offers. I was able to check out her page...see what she was about and read some reviews from her customers. I always use Yelp first but I didn't see many businesses and pricing was never discussed, which was a concern for me. So Ashley had been coming to my house probably 6-8 times since last year. My babies love her. She is calm and so sweet to them. They love her so much! I am sure they love her treats too! My Frenchies (2 & 3 yrs old) can now sit, stay, wait (this is when we hold a treat right in front of their face and they don't try to snatch it) and lay down. She has also helped with some potty issues that our youngest had. She helps us understand why our dogs are doing certain things and their motives. We rescued our doggies & they are Frenchies so they are stubborn to boot. So she helps us understand certain behaviors and how to correct them. One of the qualities I like most about Ashley is that she is very professional but very sweet. She always confirms your appointment via text the day before and if she can come a little earlier she'll ask and if she is running a little behind she'll let you know a few hours in advance. I also like that I can ask here questions or concerns I am having with my guys through texts or a phone call. I don't have to wait until our appointment. Which is a big help when something happens and I want to know why as soon as possible. I have only used her for behavior training but I know that she can do much more as well. So if you are looking for someone to help you with you dog(s), Ashley at PAC dog training is for you!

Training was done at their facility, and taking longer to transfer in our home. I was a little hesitant with the idea of board-and-train at Central FL K9 initially (not offered at the initial place we went for training)- just because I felt guilty for what felt like "leaving" our puppy that our family was so attached to... but it turned out to be the best thing we could have done for our family and our puppy. Our puppy's good behavior has come as such a surprise to people who have an opinion on the breed- and it's all thanks to Addie. Her passion for training dogs shows through the love she gives them and is nothing short of amazing. We will use Addie for training with any and all of our dogs the future brings. Besides the training- the boarding facility is the best around. It is extremely clean, smells fresh, and everyone makes it feel more comfortable when leaving your dog for boarding. The add-ons help them feel more at home, and the staff are great at sending updates. I recommend Central FL K9 to anyone who loves their dogs as a family member - because that's how they're treated there!

Sugar is a shepherd pitt mix of sorts and Seamus is a malinois mix. Sugar was abused and aggressive towards dogs and people, and Seamus was just plain old stubborn. By the time we found Darrell we had been kicked out of two other dog training programs due to Sugar's aggressive nature. At this time Darrell was associated with Sit Means Sit but was working independently and had agreed to take us as clients. Many people have great issues with the electric dog collars, myself included prior to training with Darrell. However this training seemed to give me a new way to communicate with my dogs and helped them both become more confident. My once super aggressive Sugar dog is now able to have company over without eating them, go out for walks and to restaurants, and even go to dog parks! Her quality of life was greatly improved by this experience. Most importantly, my dogs and others around them are safe. I have the control to call either dog to me from across a football field and divert them quickly away from dangers like traffic. The actual training with Darrell was great. He offered individual sessions, helped us understand the proper way to utilize the collar so it was not a punishment for our dogs, and offered group classes. We rarely utilize the collars now and only use them for things like dog parks. Our dogs have leaned that and actually go crazy with joy when they hear the beep the collar makes when it turns on because they know we are going out someplace fun. Darrell was patient with us and with our dogs. I'm happy to say that 7 years later our little family is still living happily and safely with with his training techniques.

As we begin to talk to Darrel, we begin to analyze and evaluate the person standing in our house due to his strange/ eccentric behavior and his way of speaking. There was an immediate concern and red flags began to go up in the beginning of our conversation. We were very concerned right out of the gate but we wanted to see where this conversation would take us. First we would like to say that Darrel tried to use a shock collar without our permission on our golden. I immediately stated to him "No Shock Collar as we do not condone fear training!" This is not humane nor recommended to build trust. Darrel asked if could take our golden down the sidewalk. I gave him the lead. Darrel began to pull our golden down the sidewalk slowly. Darrel then switched our halter lead for his Choke leash. Darrel then began to pull our golden with the choke leash. Our golden began to choke violently. I immediately spoke up and said "No More.. We're Done!" Darrel pulled upwards hard on the choke leash to get our golden to sit. This is extremely dangerous to the wind pipe of any dog so is not recommended. Hurting the dog is never an acceptable training method. His training methods are flawed and fear based. We didn't get a good vibe from Darrel at all. Also he asked to bring his dog into our home which is strange in itself. Needless to say won't be using his services. People.. please be aware of who you hire for training your pet.
