"I really need a massage."
That's what I'd been saying for about two weeks before I finally got myself here. While certainly not the most luxurious surroundings, it's all very clean and tidy and despite being in curtained off "rooms", I still managed to relax with the sound of Thai music in the background.
My masseuse was the only member of staff on for the day, so on a couple of occasions she needed to stop the massage and take a phone call. Not ideal but she was so friendly and lovely that I ended up just feeling bad for her, rather than annoyed that I wasn't getting full attention.
The massage itself was okay. I went for a Swedish massage as I had some serious knots that needed to be worked out of my shoulders and neck. This is probably where I went wrong as the techniques for the "Swedish" part weren't as good as the Thai massage techniques that started things off.
I walked out feeling a lot more relaxed, and because I could claim my health insurance rebate there and then I was only down around $56 for an hour worth of massage. Not bad if you ask me! read more
