Do not go here at all. My insurance company sent me here to get a root canal. The wait wasn't too bad but the actual place was. I go into the room first thing I notice it's very dirty the chairs are filthy dirt all in the chairs left over of god knows what in the sink from previous person that got treated. I had an Indian lady do my procedure she rude and rough. While she filling down my teeth she touched my tongue and tapped a couple of my other teeth. After the root canal I was sent out blood all in mouth swollen face. I get open the numbing stuff wore off my tongue started irritating me. I went 3 days like that I couldn't take no more I called them to let them know they said the dentist wasn't in yet. I called another place they said I needed the X-rays from these guys. I called them back now all of a sudden the dentist is there after I asked for X-ray and said my tongue was bleeding. I go out there same night it was 6:30 p.m it's empty im waiting for this lady for bout an hour they sent me to the same lady she asked what's the problem I told here the assistant brought everything there to fill the temporary crown down instead she says" u don't need this and yanked the crown off said that's it and sent me home. This is my fourth visit to One Stop Dental. During my first visit, I arrived more than thirty minutes early and waited an hour and a half without ever being seen. I eventually left. During my second visit, I again arrived early and was finally seen an hour after my scheduled time. X-rays were taken, and I was then told the doctor was not in. I was informed I would need to return because only that doctor could perform the work I needed (a root canal and treatment for an infection). During my third visit, I arrived early once more. After waiting an additional hour past my appointment time, I approached the front desk and was finally called back. I had pain from a tooth that had a slight infection. I was given an appointment to their Ralph Avenue location at which time I found out is where they only do crowns. They asked me to go to the 27th Street location so I did. They did the X-rays and confirmed an infection and that a root canal would need to be done. Then told me that my insurance wouldn't cover the root canal and I would need to take a loan to cover 1800 which would be about 80 a month paying back. I agreed to this. The payment plan ended up being 2000 and I pay about $135 a month right now just so it's not affecting my credit, but I needed the help and decided to go ahead with the procedure. I noticed toward the end of the procedure the doctor was not using a normal dental light and had his assistant illuminate my mouth with a cell phone. Yes. A cell phone. When done the dentist said I can make the appointment for the crown at the front desk and confirmed he cleared out most of the infection. Prescribed me antibiotics for this. It was later that everything sank in fully. While there I was so focused on the pain that things didn't sink right away. After more than a week and I was still feeling pain I decided to cancel my appointment when they sent me a text to confirm for the "crown". I decided to go to another dental provider on emergency who confirmed that no root canal was done. They even had a root canal specialist come to look at my X-rays and it was confirmed. It wasn't until I started questioning everything with this company that they then changed the narrative and asked me about coming in to complete my root canal. So I asked, did they do a root canal or not because they scheduled me for a crown next and I was told I had the root canal on my last visit, so which is it? Of course, no response. Up to now, I can't get a copy of detailed notes on what they actually did, not an invoice that details what was done. I am locked into a loan for work that was not done so I'm going through the process of disputing this and no matter what result that is, I will be going to court. When I first made the claim they actually lied saying they used proper lighting for my mouth. They used a cell phone light. That's not proper. The proper dental equipment should be used and if you don't have it then you should not be in operation. Some of these companies seek to get off of people that do not have it so that they can put you in debt for services and this is cruel. I do intend to fight this and see this all the way through, not just for me but for other people who may feel like they don't have a voice. This kind of thing should not be happening. I work in the service industry and I don't like when people leave bad reviews because they don't like the service they receive: they put the livelihoods of those working at the restaurant in jeopardy just because a server might have had an off night. However I'm making an exception, because this man is not a server or a bartender who's having a bad night. This is MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL who's in charge of the oral health of who knows how many people, and he absolutely has no business having this responsibility, as he DOES NOT CARE IN THE SLIGHTEST about his patients or their oral health. In late November 2025 I came to this man's office at 2085 East 27th Street in Brooklyn because I needed a root canal. He was VERY rude and dismissive. He then told me he had to file a prior authorization to see if my insurance company would cover the procedure. I told him my policy covered root canals but he again said insurance pulls bullshit, and that he would file it and notify me when it cleared. I couldn't help but wonder, why the hell didn't he file it BEFORE my appointment??? But I agreed to let him contact me. This turned out to be correct: it turned out my specific tooth wasn't covered for the root canal, but WAS covered for the crown that would come afterwards by my original dentist. So I don't fault him for that even though his attitude was awful. BUT HE NEVER CONTACTED ME. I reached out to his office to try and find out what the insurance company said, but no one would answer the phone. It wasn't until a week and a half later I received a letter from the insurance company detailing the situation. I ended up getting the root canal done at a private endodontist practice in Williamsburg. Their office was luxurious, especially compared to his rinky dink little unsanitary office on East 27th street, and the whole procedure with no insurance cost me $1300. He would have charged $2000 for the same procedure. By this point it was January, and my old dentist who was supposed to do the crown no longer accepted my insurance, so I had to find a new dentist. I found one but they told me they needed this guy to release the prior authorization before so they could submit their own, as the current prior authorization wasn't transferrable and if they submitted a new one with this existing one still out there it would be denied. So I called his office. Turns out all they don't have phones at either location: they have some dude in India doing all the phone work for them. He told me he would have them release it and would contact me when it was finished. Nothing happened. So I called again. Same thing. So after 2 weeks of this horseshit, I went down to their office on Ralph Ave. I explained my situation and the girl at the counter assured me I had nothing to worry about. That she texted her manager and he said it was getting done and that she would text me when it was finished. In four days I received no text from her. Finally today, I show up at Ralph ave again. He's there at the front desk. I tell him I'm at my wits end with him and his office because I need to have the crown done otherwise the area is going to deteriorate further. I tell him the girl told me she texted him and that he said it was no problem and but I never received a text confirming it was taken care of. He tells me "Oh it takes too long to get in touch with the insurance companies about this kind of stuff, I was on hold waiting to speak to them for 30 minutes and I hung up. But you don't have to worry your new dentist can submit another prior authorization and it'll be fine!" And I told him that's not what they told me and he goes "oh it's fine just tell them to do it and it'll be fine." I said "Ok but if this isn't the case, I'm reporting you to the Better Business Bureau. Have a good day." As I walked away he snidely said "Doors right there don't miss it." Then this happens: I get about a block and a half down the sidewalk and I hear him yelling. I turn around. This man CHASED ME A BLOCK AND A HALF DOWN THE SIDEWALK. Then he starts getting in my face, cursing at me, threatening me and daring me to call the Bureau. Then after about 45 seconds of us yelling and cursing at each other (which culminated in him asking me "Do you want to DIE?!") we parted ways. I've been alive for 32 years. I've seen a lot of unprofessional people in my day. This man is hand's down the LEAST professional person I've ever encountered in ANY setting. Lazy, rude, greedy, incompetent, just generally awful. I went there on Friday 9/19/2025 because I had been in pain for days before going for a walk in I called and made sure they do take my insurance when I got there I waited 3 hours which I was fine with since it was a walk in. despite me explaining the excruciating pain I am in and having a referral and clear X-rays from the day prior after all the wait they simply took more X-rays and when the Dr. / manager came to speak with me he said they can save the tooth by doing a root canal and that they just cannot do it today because I have what's called a "hot tooth " and they need to prescribe antibiotics and in 7 days I will be good to either extract or do root canal to save it. He assured me the pain will go away just be patient, after 7 days I went back to my appointment which they never told me they needed approval to do the root canal and never mentioned that my insurance wouldn't cover it. Once I arrived at my 2 pm appointment THE ROOM WAS PACKED so much so that people were waiting outside. Once 9/25 the day of the appointment that's when they're informing me that the insurance wouldn't cover I said at this point I am here let's just do it out of pocket and I will appeal because I am still in excruciating pain. The check in process was okay, minus the long wait, they took X-rays which went smoothly then things took a turn.
