i noticed a few issues with my Linear garage door opener: 1) it wouldn't hold the garage door open;…read moredoor would drop a few inches, which would interfere with my LifeStyle screen door. 2) the motor sounded like it was struggling; a loud brushless motor hum. 3) the 8-foot rail was creaking; silicone lubricant didn't help. i reached out to Mike and sent him videos of the issues. he said he could troubleshoot it, but i mentioned i didn't want to deal with all that; i just wanted a new garage door opener. he recommended a couple wall-mounted units. i chose the LiftMaster 98032. it took Mike under 2 hours to remove the old setup and install the new one. it's nice not seeing that 8-foot rail anymore. with the new opener connected directly to the jackshaft, the system is noticeably quieter, too. the automatic dead-bolt and backup battery for continued use during power outages are great features. i also like the motion sensor that turns on the lights during those quick trips into the garage. the myQ app has a better GUI than the Linear app. upon registration, myQ offered a $5 smart camera for monitoring inside the garage.

Because of this, we have no choice but to sell our home for the safety of our family. Our house has turned out to have multiple hidden dangers -- bad plumbing, a failing roof, poor doors and windows, and now electrical work that was not up to code. My husband is an active duty military member, and we trusted Mr. Rogers Windows because they claim to be a "military-friendly" company. But when we explained our urgent situation and asked to cancel or at least transfer our contract to our new home -- something that should be reasonable since they haven't done official measurements or ordered parts -- they outright refused. Instead, they told us we'd still be forced to pay the entire $28,000 balance before we can sell our home. We are doing the right thing by making sure the house is up to code for the next family, because no one deserves to feel unsafe in their own home. All we asked was for a little understanding and flexibility from this company that claims to "support" the military. We are heartbroken and feel completely abandoned by Mr. Rogers Windows. They have shown no compassion, no willingness to help, and absolutely no loyalty to the military families they say they support. He arrived when he said he would on time and looked the situation over. Much to my surprise after inspection of the old smaller deck he noticed that it was unsafe and should be reinforced for safety (and Code compliance),for expansion because it was shaky. I was pleased with his knowledge and appreciated him bringing this to my attention. My wife and I accepted his advice to demolish down to the frame and awarded him the job. He and a helper arrived on time to start the deconstruction of my old deck and the project was under way. His worker, Tim did an excellent job of bringing the deck down to the frame which he had said was reusable. The following day A carpenter, Ken showed up and started the construction. When they returned the they continued and finished the deck. I am glad We hired Mark for the job. Ken and Tim worked steady to repair and extended our new deck to our satisfaction. I complement thrse two. It looks great, very sturdy and a nice addition to our home. I must say Mark's price was very reasonable, his coordinating coordinating with me both on yhe phone and in person, dropping by now and again to spend time with his men was admirable.
