He rearranged his schedule so that he would be able to help us out that day. Once he started he was very methodical in locating the problem. On the phone, I asked for a "total cost" of the job...total cost means TOTAL, as in no other charges will be added. So, he quoted something over $7000 as the total, and since we had already discussed the job, I simply signed the contract. AFTER signing the contract, I found out there was a separate charge to flush the lines to the tune of $975. Just flushing water thru the lines...$975, and he isnt even paying the water bill. The camera charge of $325 simply to view my sewer lines...is it a golden camera? And the cost to dig up the basement and install a fiberglass inner pipe to the cracked older pipe of $7025 So, the total was in reality $8325. Then he held onto my checks for over a month. Close to two months. I texted him to cash the checks or the money was going back to my savings. So, of course two weeks after my text, he tries to cash the checks, resulting in an ISF for the $7025. He "just texted me," demanding i write a 'new check' for another check for $7025 or he will see his attorney, as a matter of a fact, I think I'll see mine. But thats pretty damn slick, that would be $14050 if I actually wrote a second check for $7025 If a check comes back ISF, the bank will run that check again (redeposit it), that is common practice. Redeposit the check Clyde...you aint getting paid twice. And, as I said, your experience with this guy is irrelevant to my experience. Companies often see an easy mark in older women, who are single and have no male presence in the house....so if he was good with you, that has zero to do with my experience. women beware.

I had a plumbing issue in one of my bathrooms. Several days…read morelater (on a Saturday, of course), I realized there was a lot of water in the basement (below the bathroom) and I could still hear dripping. Everything in the basement is water logged, and hard for me to move since I have a bad back. Not much I could do until Davis called Monday. We chatted for a few moments, and his first available appointment was for next week. This morning he called and said he had a cancellation and could come check out my issue(s). He was very close by and arrived within a few minutes. He saw all the issues and said "good news - bad news". He told me what I was seeing hanging from the ceiling where the tiles had given way not a plumbing line but an HVAC line. Great. But he then gave me several suggestions on what I could do myself to mitigate some of the issues resulting from the main problem. David could have told me all sorts of things, but he was very honest, and forthright with me. I sincerely appreciate this since I am "older" and have no clue about house plumbing.
