I recently purchased an older home in downtown McDonough. The HVAC system was old and needed immediate replacement. Two companies looked at my HVAC system, one never called me back and the other did not thoroughly examine the system. I called One Call Heating and Air and they quickly sent Jason for a replacement quote. Jason spent time to take measurements of my crawl space and scrutinized connections and potential problems. Our recent experience with One Call was NOT what we call good service. Our cooling unit is 6 years old. So at the start of the summer our upstairs unit stop working so we called One Call who service the unit for the previous owner of the home. When we call to scheduled an appointment the young lady who answered was pleasant. She schedule a tech to come out. Granted a lot of time you need to be home for tech person. So you know have a day off. Well the tech didn't show up so a waste of day. No biggie at this point we called back rescheduled came to find out that particular tech that missed the appointment got fired! Okay things happen. The second tech that came out happen to be the owner. Our unit needed a blower okay so the part had to be order we paid the tech visit and rescheduled another visit to have the blower replace. So nothing quite out the ordinary at this point. The blower was replaced things back to normal we got cold air. So we paid for the work and purchased their service plan which sound like a good idea. But we did notice that outside our home that was leak from a pipe from the roof we call back and was told that was normal we don't know much about cooling unit we are from Minnesota we are more worried staying warm! Here is the strange thing the water was dripping quite rapidly which didnt before when I say dripping our patio is covered with water and looking around at other homes in the area it wasn't the case. So a few weeks pass and our downstairs unit when out so we called them once again explained the situation with the downstairs unit and the problem with the dripping so the tech came fixed the unit and stated the line for the drainage on the upstairs was clonged so it was unclonged and paid the fee. Here is where the plot thickens. Few days passed the dripping starts again let's say pouring. And the underneath the unit upstairs the pan is filled with water.So we called once to have a tech come out. Now remember scheduling time and missing work again. The tech comes out say the unit is leaning and need some isolating blocks but he does have the parts. Now that he has to come again I got the impression he wanted me pay for the visit but I stated you're not expecting us to for the visit the tech say no but his facial impression said otherwise. Now as you can see how this playing out the same tech comes and by his facial impression he didn't really want to help. So I started we are not be charging for this visit . He stated no but there is a $95 charge I said for what and ask is for the parts bug I could believe isolating blocks to level a unit could that much. I stated why should I pay when the issues was resolved the first time and second time you came you didn't have what was need. So I ask if that the issues how the other tech when I mean the owner didn't catch the issue. He stated could have been missed. Here is where things are going down hill. So you want pay for something so easy to fixed was missed the first time. He try the plywood up in the attic could warped. I am thinking really here goes the story of b.s. So I hear him out and the debate is going back and forth. He states you want talk to the owner I say yes . The owner is on the phone now granted he is the owner and was the previous tech that came out. So he explaining I am listening to what he is saying. But let me I work in a service industry and one of the most hated service industry so I know how things should be handle. During the conversation he stated two important claims number 1 he is been doing this work for 20 years and then insinuated the unit could have been by someone. So I ask the tech to show me the issue. The unit unit needed to level out so ask I how could so simple be missed a person with 20 years experienced but at this the tech was be more concern about getting paid for this visit . So I am the point I lost faith and ask the tech to leave and we will be going with another company read more
