The first time my sister and I came in here on vacation, we loved it. The atmosphere was so lovely and charming. The girl who waited on us was very friendly and the cake slices we bought were delicious. I was looking forward to going back to it. We went there yesterday, again on vacation, and the same girl was there but the manager was also there. The manager was not as friendly and my sister and I both felt we were being dismissed. The atmosphere changed when she walked out. We felt we had to hurry and pick out something and there were no other customers. It felt tense with this lady. I got a carmel brownie and my sister got a German chocolate brownie, because the cakes weren't out yet. I was disappointed in the brownie. I've had better. My sister liked hers. Once we left the bakery, I was bothered the rest of the day of how the manager treated us, almost like we weren't her kind of customers. I will never go back there again when we vacation in Wilmington. I guess they have enough good reviews that this one won't matter to them much. read more

This is definitely my "special treat" location! This bakery makes wonderful buttercream & cream cheese frosting selections. And they definitely have the ability to deliver bougie cakes! It's super fun to stop in and pick four or six gourmet style cupcakes to take home and we cut them and split so we can get a taste of everything! I typically don't leave reviews but after visiting this place and buying a cake I wanted to leave one. We are visiting Wrightsville Beach and on top of it celebrating my wife's birthday. I reached out to One Belle about a specialty cake, but the time wouldn't allow for something elaborate which I kinda expected but asked anyway. I thought they would say "no we can't make that" and that would've been the end of it. One Belle went above and beyond and made me a cake to my specifications without the elaborate topper and design and ohhh boy it was awesome. The cake was moist, not too rich and most of all my wife absolutely loved it. Everyone I talked with at One Belle is very helpful and friendly. Let's start by saying I didn't plan to have a lot of cake at my wedding. I honestly wanted enough for me and my hubby to be. After going to a tasting at One Belle, I wanted all the cake. I went to a few other tastings before this one and it was more of cake slices and I had to smear the icing on. At OBB, they offered around eight 2x2 actual slices of cake. They were all delicious. We ended up going with amaretto and lemon and I'm so glad we opted for both. We also ended up with one three tier cake and two other smaller cakes. We had enough for the number we provided and enough to take our top layer home. Speaking of that top layer, we waited a year before slicing back into it and it was just as amazing as it was on our wedding day! We worked with Georgia for our tasting and planning and Anna and her team made it happen. Side note- you don't have to wait for a wedding or special occasion to enjoy One Belle. Stop by the shop daily for an assortment of cakes, sweets and cookies. I didn't take a picture and wish I had. The time that went into decorating those did not go unnoticed and was appreciated. I ordered a funfetti truffle, which was essentially a cake pop without the stick, which I prefer because I've had it where you take a bite of the Cake pop and the rest falls off the stick. My caterers recommended this bakery to recreate a tiered macaron desert for our wedding. The macarons were delicious and would recommend getting them again. However, when arranging picking up the deserts and dropping off a rented cake stand, they neglected to tell me that they were closed the day of my wedding until after I paid!
