My dads old cuff link and tie pin set turned into pendants and a ring for my sister and I. And them my dad's baguettes from his wedding ring - into a ring for myself with a design from help with Garo to ensure the baguettes wouldn't fall out. Each part of the decision making process I felt supported and also advised on the type of gold, what would work, why what I wanted would not work and letting me make the decision. In the end, I trusted Garo...and this ring designed to hold the memory of my dad turned out wonderful...and a lasting memory that I could wear every day. I then had my friends and my sister go to Garo - and they experienced the same - insightful, knowledgable, kind information when what you want may not be the best for you - but in the end - the diamonds won't fall out and the workmanship - amazing. It's good to feel you are in good hands with someone who has a passion for the art, the gems and you. These items were made and purchased about 4-5 years ago...and I've just come back to purchase an engagement ring. This time, instead of the help of Laura and Paul - Evan was the new consultant who helped me through the process. We met for the first time at the beginning of January to pick the stone - and then we decided on the setting with a lot of support and help from Evan. She is amazing, patient, with a lot of knowledge about the rings and stones and gold/platinum ideas. What a pleasure it was to work with her. We asked if it would be ready before Valentine's Day and I have it today. It is just gorgeous. The time, communication, and help from Evan made me feel confident that what I dreamed of would come to fruition, on time, and within our price. Everyone here has been a pleasure to work with. And I look forward to designing my wedding band. Take a moment and go into the store or make an appointment. Evan is just a gem of her own, I highly suggest you meet her and I know you'll experience the same as me.Happy designing and shopping!

They have an outstanding selection of high-quality jewelry in a wide range of styles, with options to suit a variety of tastes and budgets. What really stood out to us, though, was the exceptional customer service. The staff were incredibly patient with two very indecisive customers, knowledgeable about their products, and most importantly never pushy. They always made us feel comfortable taking our time and finding exactly what we wanted. They were also wonderfully generous and accommodating. They lent me a gorgeous pair of pearl earrings to wear on my wedding day, which was such a thoughtful gesture. They always greet us warmly when we stop in and have been incredibly flexible and helpful every time we've visited. They even resized my engagement ring multiple times until we got the fit just right, and have cleaned my jewelry more times than I can count because I'm terrible at keeping my rings clean! We've had such a wonderful experience with Giovanna's, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful jewelry and genuinely outstanding service.

Greeted by Rafik and Carolina, I was the only patron to enter the store today! Los Altos is quaint & quiet on the weekends & even quieter on weekdays, guys! Locals gather for the beer & wine festivals, art shows, First Fridays, & other Los Altos Chamber of Commerce events that wake up the residents! The return of fine jewelry selection is always welcomed in our town! There were more stores that came and went, so finding a familiar reputable name on the same block & at the same location brings back brand recognition & excitement! Gleim the Jeweler is a family owned brand that has began on University Ave in Palo Alto in 1931, that's 8 years short of a century! Gleim had 3 locations in the early 2000s, the initial goldsmith shop in Palo Alto, Stanford Shopping Center store where Gleim has been one of the original tenants, and here in Los Altos as well. They downsized back to the roots at one time, under the leadership of Georgie Gleim, the granddaughter of the founder. Only Stanford location has been kept throughout the past couple of decades, so now we have Los Altos store back into the mix of businesses on Main Street! I welcomed Rafik and Carolina to my downtown and they smiled at me gracefully! Let's take a look inside, shall we? Precious gemstones, unique estate pieces, watches, well known brands, you'll find it all at the remodeled store next to wine bar Le Banc, how convenient! Rafik has been with Gleim for awhile and he knows the trade very well! Carolina is from Brazil with the most charming accent & she exudes love for fine jewelry and design, coupled with long time in the industry since the '80s in Rio de Janeiro. When it comes to finding that time piece, or estate piece that carries goldsmith's craftsmanship & history, you now have a new store in town! *When the lights go down in the California town People are in for the evening I jump into my car and I throw in my guitar My heartbeat in time with my breathing Driving over Kanan, singing to my soul There's people out there turning music into gold! TL;DR: Silva (sales) and Tran (jeweler) are the best!…read more My husband and I got my engagement ring here 1.5 years ago. We made very clear what we wanted as to the ring setting (i.e., a low profile), and the store manager at the time promised us that, even if we're not happy after purchase, we can come back any time and they can and will easily change the setting, satisfaction guaranteed, etc. Right after our engagement, we came back to the store and paid for a new ring setting, as the one my then-fiancee ultimately chose (based on the manager's recommendation) was still too high for my liking. We were told by the manager that it is no problem and we would have a new ring in no time. This is when the saga began. In the last 1.5 years, we have been calling and texting and visiting the store every other week, following up on the status, which were consistently met with - albeit very politely - (1) empty promises that it will be ready "this Friday" or "next week," (2) excuses (e.g., they are busy with [Christmas / Valentines' Day / Mother's Day] or there is no CAD designer available to do the drawing (in the entire Jared's chain)), or (3) simply ghosted. Finally, right before Christmas last year, we learned that the manager we've been "chasing" has moved out of the state to another branch. Quick note: we cannot just take the ring to any other jeweler to get a new setting because that would void the guarantee that Jared's offers (as most jewelry stores do) on the ring (e.g., if a/the stone falls off, they will replace it). Feeling utterly defeated and hopeless, we went into the store again, that's when we met Silva. We told her our story and she quickly connected with the manager, checked the system and studied the records, figured out exactly what we wanted and what needed to be done, and started to mobilize the entire process. She checked in and provided updates almost weekly, showing exceptional professionalism and commitment. Silva then introduced us to the amazing Tran, the in-store expert jeweler (whom I assume has been at the store in the last 1.5 years). Tran is super knowledgeable about everything jewelry. He explained to us the pros and cons of our different options - balancing beauty and strength. In the end, Tran went above and beyond, defying the laws of structural physics, designed and produced exactly what we wanted (no CAD drawings), for which we are beyond impressed and incredibly grateful. Thank you so much, Silva and Tran!!

We appreciated the help we received from Elena and Darya who were kind and pleasant to work with. However, our interaction with Fanya was off putting and left us feeling uncomfortable. During our visit, she spoke very confidently about the history of mining diamonds in a way that did not align with well-documented historical information we are privy to. The conversation felt dismissive of a serious subject and it made it difficult for us to feel confident moving forward with such an important purchase. When choosing a jeweler for something as meaningful as an engagement ring, trust and transparency matter a lot. While we respect that others may have different experiences, this interaction ultimately led us to continue our search elsewhere. Especially after noticing many of their negative reviews revolved around the owners daughter, this was concerning to us. We wish the business the best, but wanted to share our honest experience for others who are doing the same research we were.
