The worst service I've ever had, I took some things from my baby and the person who attended me treated me super badly, they also demand that you have to take everything assembled something that is important since that's what they are for, also that the clothes have to be taken in a plastic container and then they stay with it, I don't recommend going, super bad service, and the prices of the things are very high compared to the one they buy. don't waste your time, these people are awful, haven't met 1 staff member who didn't have an attitude, very rude. i've been twice now to sell my baby items & i understand they can't take everything, but the women i spoke to are quite rude, clothes not in a plastic bin with lid would not even be looked at. nice, freshly washed & assembled working Graco baby swing wouldn't be bought bc you sometimes had to barely wiggle the knob. freshly washed & assembled bassinet (with the bedding i used for it, refused to buy back bc it didn't have a sheet & she "has been doing this a long time, they always come with a sheet", told her it didn't come with sheets that's why i bought some, i PROVED to her it didn't come with sheets by pulling it up online & showing her. just absolutely terrible service both times i've gone. i will never be back. read more

This store was a letdown from the moment we walked in. For a children's store, the atmosphere is far from friendly. The staff seemed tense and unapproachable, which made the whole visit uncomfortable. Making faces at kids being too loud or being asked a simple question. To make things worse, my daughter came back later to pick up some clothes I wasn't able to buy earlier because I forgot my wallet. She's 17, fully capable of making a simple purchase, but they refused to let her buy the items because she wasn't 18. It wasn't alcohol or cigarettes--it was secondhand kids' clothes. The staff was rude and unhelpful about it, showing zero understanding or basic customer service. They been very rude for people who work in a kid's thrift store. Honestly, never going back to shop there. read more

If i could give this place zero stars i absolutely would. I've gone there multiple times and have never been met with a full nice staff. if you don't like the job and don't want to do it then DONT! also absolutely give you such a low amount for what you sell regardless of brand or condition. DO NOT GO HERE! the one in FTM is much much better. I have never in my life been treated with such distaste like seriously there are places that work from home and are hiring that's where 99.9 of the staff belongs. i met the ONE nice there and she seemed brand new, hopefully they don't kill her light. note, I never take the time to write reviews and i'm from miami, do with that what you will. read more

They were very kind and explained everything to me and they are very clean and have so many beautiful clothing and items there!

What a joke. They say they don't buy broken things however this was the same item we bought from them used once and tried to sell it back because the baby hated it. This has happened twice. Furthermore they reject clothes and shoes that are nicer than what they have on the shelves constantly. To top it all off they are rude about the whole thing. I'll never understand. read more

I'll review both sides of the coin: shopping here and selling here. Shopping I'd give about 3 stars. Immediately I noticed the employees weren't very welcoming. There was no "hello welcome to once upon a child" or typical greeting but I figured possibly just a bad day for the employees. I've been back several times and rarely do they greet you. I don't know if I'm the only one but I feel like this store is PRICEY for a second hand store. Some of the items are downright dirty but priced like they're pristine because they're a particular brand (ie: Melissa and Doug, etc.) see photos for an example, a used paw patrol push car for $6.50.. There's a decent selection of unique toys I've never seen because they're older or from Amazon and not a brick and mortar store. They also have a TON of stock period , so lots to choose from! Selling here is another story. I'd give selling here one star with the star being that you CAN have cash in hand that day but it isn't much at all and the effort it takes is not worth the drive and the wait. I sold here two times, first time took in a walker, a couple Fischer price little people toys, and some brand new baby gap clothes and got $60~ so I thought awesome despite having to drop the toys off and go home and wait nearly three hours, I made $60 for things we didn't need anymore and donated whatever they didn't take. Second time I took a brand new, wooden, diaper changing table that was $160 on Amazon that day, and $160 when we bought it retail. We NEVER used this and the plastic was still on the pad. I think I had taken a couple other items too but the main thing I was selling was the diaper changing table. The lady looked at it and offered me $13. I didn't need it but mainly DIDN'T want to load the thing back into my fiat 500 so I begrudgingly took the $13 but was shocked. I have no idea what their buying principle is I figured it was probably 1/4 of what the online price was, but that blew me away. read more

I love this store and the one in Fort Myers! I'm pregnant with my first with zero exposure to babies and kids, so I have a huge learning curve up ahead! I've already went ham (way overboard) on buying baby clothes In This store. Some staff might remember me, I had the cart piled excessively high with boy clothes. 1 worker told me it was the most clothes they've seen someone buy in there. Lmbo, I walked in with no intention of buying anything at all that day. Smh! That's just how cute everything is. Anyways, today was especially great because I met Stephanie who works there. She asked if I needed help & I did! I had a lot of questions on what I would really need as a first time mom and why choose this item over that item? For me, this has been an overwhelming experience as there are too many options and I dont have the understanding how to choose between bassinets, bouncers, learning toys, & what is age appropriate for a new born etc. I listed out my needs and Stephanie was able to guide me based on her own experience with her own baby on what would likely be needed between 0-6m & them later at 6-12m. It erased a lot of confusion I was having! I know I must have looked lost & I'm very thankful she asked me if I needed help & I felt very comfortable asking her my millions of questions! Ps: there was also a lady In The past who was very helpful at this location but her name escapes me. read more

don't come in if you have a plastic bag, because they will send you out to the car to sort out the "wrinkled" clothing, then you'll come back in with the same bag and THEN they will tell you that they can't accept plastic bags. none of the clothing was wrinkled, it was folded in a dresser prior to the 10 minute drive. clearly not there to help customers. got $8 for a slide. read more

No bags because they recycle everything and take the mesh bag for a pile of toys and expect you to carry it outside I. Your arms. Puddle jumpers is a much better place and they have bags. read more

I've been to other Once Upon A Child locations before, but this one is by far my favorite. I had two bins full of clothes and baby gear, plus my son. An employee came out and assisted me in bringing in the items. The staff were welcoming and it took about 45 minutes to complete the merchandise check and calculate prices. Meanwhile, I browsed the racks. All of the clothing is in excellent condition and fairly priced. Gear (carriers, cribs, strollers) was also well-priced. They didn't take everything, but they took way more than I'd expected. Don't think that you'll be making bank on your items, as they need to keep a profit margin for themselves. But, if you don't have time to sell the items yourself, they are a great alternative. Also if you buy at the same time you sell, you pay 0% tax on your purchases! All in all, I walked away with $48 and a bed rail, very pleased with my experience. read more

Never meet anyone with a friendly attitude working only modest at best. I'd give it a zero star if I could the one star is that sometimes you can find a decent deal. read more

So prior to this location in the Cape opening I always went over the bridge to the FM location. Once this place opened I figured "convenient". Proper customer care cannot be compromised for convenience. This type of "sell used stuff here" theory helps in my 9 yr old getting rid of old things for money. Upon walking in we were greeted immediately with a super friendly face. As we were browsing I had a question about some baby things and one of the girls said let me get a manager. Said manager came stated "Yeah" did not introduce herself with a name or anything and seemed to get irritated after a simple question that I had. Never experienced this in the FM location. Maybe then opening up is overwhelming but you should be more considerate to your customers. Go because the deals are good and selling items helps but don't go if you're expecting superb customer service. read more
