Although we did not know it at the time, the person who helped us broke two of the four screws that hold the back of the watch on. The person then handed us a small plastic bag containing the parts that used to be the watch. She said we would have to send the watch somewhere to be fixed. We then wrote a review of the incident on Yelp. A representative of Timothy Grant Jewelry called and asked us to bring back the bag of watch parts for repair. We came back with the bag and Timothy Grant Jewelry "repaired" the watch and asked us to take down the Yelp review, which we did. We paid for the new battery and left the establishment. This month the watch needed a new battery. We took the watch to a reputable jeweler. When he opened the watch to replace the battery, he told us that 2 of the 4 screws that hold the back to the watch are broken and the heads of the screws were glued in to present the appearance that the watch is whole. We then attempted to communicate with Timothy Grant Jewelry to resolve our issue. There has to date been no response from Timothy Grant Jewelry. We have had three negative experiences, first he broke the screws that held our watch together and handed us a bag of parts that used to be our watch, second he claimed he fixed the watch but fooled us with a fake repair by gluing the heads of screws to the watch, third he would to respond to us in any way to resolve the issue.

I honestly wish I can give more than 5 stars. In short, my now fiancé and I are extremely lucky…read morethat we were referred by a friend and met an incredible jeweler like Jon. He is absolutely talented, trustworthy, honest, and super passionate about his field of knowledge and work. We walked in not knowing so much about the whole engagement ring selection process, but he made us feel very comfortable upon arrival and kindly gave us the much needed informative session before we started looking at any specific pieces and discuss wants & needs. Jon was able to give us a step-by-step guide through the whole process. He did not ever push us to make any decisions (you can't find this with other jewelers) and gave us plenty of time to think through and genuinely wanted us to make the decisions that was best for us. He kept in good communication through everything and never missed a single detail. He was able to always answer my questions and reassure my worries and made sure we were comfortable and confident in our final choice of diamond and setting. We truly thank him for all the effort and work that he has helped us in creating our memorable piece and valuable experiences. We cannot be more happy for the outcome and are absolutely in LOVE with everything that we worked on with Jon thus far! (Plenty more in future including our wedding bands) I would (and have) HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! *picture doesn't ever do it justice, but it it looks this great in picture, Enough said :) *

Jon is an expert who you can trust to give you the best advice as well as fair advice. I recently asked him to replace a diamond on my wedding band, and he told me all he needed to do was rotate the diamond. He could have easily told me it needed replacement, which would have cost me way more, and I would have had no idea. He is honest and dang good at his job.

I was there during a sidewalk sale, and they had $2 costume jewelry out front; a seasonal red/white/blue display, and vintage purses / hats in addition to jewelry. Jewelry is arranged by type; there's a large selection of pearls; dozens of cameos; and, when I was there, a large display of Bakelite and other vintage plastic bangles (with a magazine article on how not all vintage plastic jewelry is Bakelite). Some southwest/turquoise; a bunch of diamonds; lots of colored stones; and even some enamel pieces. If you don't see what you're looking for, ask; I wanted to see amber and they brought out a bunch, and they also had additional mourning jewelry in the back. The people serving me were very helpful, finding bracelets in my size, helping with tricky catches, etc. and they knew their stuff (what era jewelry was from; no, we don't have jet but we have bog oak...). Several customers were obviously regulars; one approached me out of nowhere to tell me how good the staff were to deal with. Prices are very reasonable; I was very pleased with the vast selection, spent less on a couple of pieces than I expected, and went home with some treasures. This is on the main street right next to the Catlow theater; there is street parking and 1 hour and 3 hour unmetered parking a block away at the Jewel.
