It did take a bit to get the premium bar menu to review - and I really wanted good champagne on the yacht to be served all night long, but they only had prosecco and we weren't able to work together to order nice bottles ahead of time. There was a 2 bottle maximum that was allowed to be brought on board with a $35 corkage - but they allowed me a few more bottles on board which was nice. But would have been nice to know ahead of time vs the day before. I wouldn't say anyone went above and beyond - but service was professional, courteous. Drinks for the premium bar were definitely on par with CA prices. They provided a list of caterers and for my milestone where I wanted French food - recommended Tom's Catering. He has been doing food on board for 20+ years and the food was PHENOMENAL. Guests devoured the food and everything was absolutely delicious. Boat has 3 levels and was able to fit the party nicely. Scheduling was straightforward and we made a last minute addition to our crew which Michael made super easy on us... and our friend even made another last minute request to stay on and complete his 114 Certification which Michael rolled with. Our instructor (Molly) was awesome, especially giving my wife the confidence to land Cochise into the slip - her first attempt - like a boss! Tho wind was weak for most of the week (which I think we were both a little disappointed and a little relieved) we were able to get a solid understanding of course materials and ample opportunity to practice each segment. I bought my first sailboat shortly after and felt confident (and perhaps a bit daunted) to sail her 390 nm from Anacortes, WA to Portland, OR. My wife would have NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS let me do so had she not taken the same classes. So a huge THANK YOU! to the whole crew at Marina Sailing. My wife and I are loving sailing and really looking forward to our first charter vacation.

Excellent training, good instructor, lots of fun! I took the…read moreBeginning Sailing Course - Lido 14. It was a good value! The instructor tries to give the class as much time on the water as possible. I will suggest that if people are tall and/or don't like kneeling on hard surfaces, volleyball knee pads make the experience better. The Lido 14 is a small sailboat and there's a lot of moving from side to side of the boat on the very low bench seats. Being able to kneel on the floor as you switch sides can make the transitions faster. I took the 4 classes in one week, however I think I'll try the 1 class a week version next time. Sailing is a bit of a workout, so be prepared - practice squats and lunges. And don't forget your sunscreen.
