My boyfriend and I went on the two-hour dinner cruise, and it was such a fun experience. The ticket is around $150, but honestly, it felt worth it. Just being out on the water at night made it special. The service was great, and the staff was super friendly the entire time. The food was actually surprisingly good. They had a wide variety of options--from salads to entrées and appetizers and everything was well done. Plus, there were unlimited desserts, including fruits, cakes, and more. They even greeted us with champagne, which was a nice touch. There was also a DJ onboard, which made the vibe even more fun. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this as an activity if you're in San Diego. It's easy, fun, and something a little different. I know a few things about wine, but Bob, the co-founder who led our tasting, revealed interesting new tidbits about pairings, how rosés are made, and what makes Vinos Unidos wines stand out within the industry and above others... We're eagerly awaiting our quarterly shipment, but this evening we couldn't resist opening their 2019 award winner (pictured here), and are thoroughly enjoying it paired with some ripe strawberries topped with that decadent Bonjour chocolate kefir found at local SoCal farmers' markets. I remember coming across videos on social media a very long time ago and had been meaning to make my own reservation. Randomly, it came to mind again and I decided to look into it. Making a reservation was super easy on their website. The days/times get booked quickly, when I made my reservation I had to make it almost a month out. Closer to the tour date you'll receive more details and a waiver to sign. You can email it or bring in a printed copy of it. Parking for visitors is not hard to find, you'll see a sign pointing you in the right direction once you pull into the plaza. Upon entry to the building you'll be checked in by one of the workers who will take the name of your group and verify that the waiver(s) have been signed. I don't want to spoil too much of the tour but you'll start in the lobby, work your way upstairs, into a classroom, then finally through the factory. Depending on the time/day that you go, you may see some workers in action. It's about an hour long and a great way to learn a little history about the popular probiotic drink :), I recommend it!

The tour is free and lasted about an hour long. The tour consists of two parts. The first is mainly introduction to the history of the Yakult drink, how it came about, and the benefits of the drink. We got to sample the drinks, both the red and blue bottles. The red bottle is the standard sweetness while the blue bottle has less sugar. The second part is the actual tour of the factory where they produce the drinks. We got to see the different rooms on how the drinks are made, from making the probiotics, to quality control, to bottling, and all the way to packaging for shipment. We were not allowed to take any photos or videos for the second part of the tour. It was very fun and informative. We had a great time here. I contacted Betty to arrange a special wine tasting lunch for my wife's birthday. We included a couple that similarly are wine novices. Our goal was a nice visit to Temecula wine country and a beginner's level experience. We want someone to educate us and not talk down to us. Betty and her husband delivered! We had a fantastic experience under her guidance and learn some basics of wine tasting and pairing. Betty was genuine with her knowledge sharing and we never felt talked down to. The facility for the event was a very nice local Vinyard and we even got to meet the owner. It was picturesque and comfortable. If you're not part of their wine club membership, you will be forced to sit in their lawn area--the seats and views are not great and the space is very limited. Meanwhile, their membership area has lounge tables and cooling fans, but it is strictly reserved for members despite it being completely empty at the time. The associates at the wine tasting room were not welcoming nor were they attentive either as they often talked amongst themselves even with patrons around. With how long Miramonte Winery has been around, it's unfortunate to see the service and ambiance go completely downhill. There are plenty of other wineries in Temecula at this point that I would rather visit than to come here again. I strongly suggest going elsewhere if you want to visit a winery with great atmosphere and views. I gave an extra star because the place is not the worst, it looks to be clean, the wine is decent, but the winery itself is far from good nor is it worth your time or money.
