Knowing our subfloor had leveling issues and was creaky we decided best was to go for full tile floors instead of keeping laminate / vinyl. We had subfloor work, new porcelain tile, beadboard accent wall, and new thresholds by R&R 360. We were given the freedom to choose our floor tiles locally. I used Billy White Roofing for installation of a new roof on my home. I was extremely extremely…read moredisappointed. I am not a roofer, but within a week of the work being completed, I went up on my roof to review/inspect their work more closely. I identified ~ 10 - 15 exposed/low nails, and other issues. I asked them to send someone back out to look at it. He ended up identifying 11 different and fairly major issues that needed to be addressed in addition to the low nails (issues with rake edges, disappearing beauty row, missing/improperly installed flashing, vents that were not nailed down/caulked, etc.). The two workers that came out to inspect and repair the roof were great (Curtis and Ben), but there is no reason a brand new roof should have so many issues (two workers were here for an entire day stripping and fixing portions of the roof). In one of the areas where the flashing/shingles were improperly installed (see photo) there was already standing water observed beneath the flashing/shingles. The issues have supposedly been "fixed" (although the shingle lines and ridge vents are still not straight and look terrible up-close), but again, absolutely no reason for a new roof to have issues in the first place. They also did not follow minor requests (e.g., I asked them to not park their heavy trailers on my new concrete driveway across the street and to not park on the neighbors lawn - and they did both). They were supposed to repair my roof on a Monday - although it did rain in the morning, they never showed and never called. I had to follow-up multiple times to get an update and they didn't come back out until that Friday. No discount, extended warranty, etc. was given.

Dominic did a complete inspection before telling us our options. He walked around on the roof and took photos. He did not try to talk us into any upgrades, but we decided since the roof was old, we'd ask for the shingles and any decking to be repaired. We decided we wanted the medium excellence option. We also asked for attic blown-in insulation, new gutters, and gutter shields. Dominic told us they'd put in some attic vents. In the end, they took it down to the rafters! As we had to be away when they started, Dominic was in touch with us on the phone or by email every step of the way, and answered every question. Roof Advance gave our little old house the boost it needed! It looks great, and, we have peace of mind knowing that we won't have to climb up to clean the gutters any more.
