Therefore, when…read moreI needed a service call recently, I contacted Rise and Shine and was able to get someone to come out the very next morning. Rise and Shine took care of my issue and I started to discuss my old, very loud, chain driven garage door opener. The repair person was Dan Deluka, who after the service call, took the time to update me on the advancement of garage door openers in the last 20 years (the age of my opener) and what I would gain by replacing my old, noisy opener. I want to stress that I was one who asked to be educated; it was not a case of Dan trying to sell me an opener after the service call for the door. Dan did a great job of explaining the options and the improvements made since my old opener was installed. In the end, I decided upon a model. Dan was able to install it in a very short amount of time and I was completely satisfied with both the product and the installation. I have found that, although Rise and Shine isn't the least expensive option, it's a company that stands behind their products and services. This means a lot and it's the type of integrity and customer service that is very rare these days. I confidently recommend this company and the management that runs the company.

The door went halfway down and came right back up, it would come off of one bracket. I called Hamline and they came in approximately 20 minutes. I told him the problem and that there might be glass on the floor (I didn't expect having only 20 minutes to tidy up!). He bravely entered, tried it out, and it worked. He didn't have to do anything. I felt incredibly stupid. But had I gone through HomeAdvisors, I'd have been writing a check for $50 or $100 just to have a guy visit. Hamline's tech charged me nothing. So I cost him money and put him in danger, and he let me off the hook which is great because my mortgage is due. Also worth noting is when I told him the problem, he told me exactly how much it would cost to replace the problem I described. Extremely kind, professional, understanding, and he refrained from cursing at me when he probably should have. They can expect a call this winter when murphy's law kicks in and the door stops working as soon as we get our first snowstorm. A million thanks to Hamline!

Thanks again Matt, I always recommend elite whenever I have friends who need garage door maintenance. To add, if you are one of those guys who thinks you can replace a spring on your own, don't!
