We were in Traverse City for 4th of July with family and wandered in here after admiring the Leland Blue rings in the window. The salesperson that helped us was super friendly and happy to pull stuff out for us to look out. We got this ring, some stud earrings, and a lovely petoskey stone for a family member and it all ended up under $220. They offer free ring resizing and we just received it in the mail from them. Very pleased with how gorgeous it turned out! They also have Fordite and other interesting Michigan 'stones' as well as other cool things. This store is absolutely amazing. We were walking past shops and in the mood for ice cream, when we saw this shop. They have loads of unique crystals and rocks. They have really large beautiful pieces as well. Our car is already pretty full and my home is too full right now with no space for large pieces, so I decided to purchase something small. I did take a card to remember to come here in the future when I am looking for larger pieces. The women at the front were very kind. Covid: yes there are open and allow limited people inside. Great store unless you're one of the customers the staff randomly dislikes. I've shopped here several times and will say that they have a great selection of stones and beautiful jewelry, even if it's pretty pricey. At first i just thought the staff was a bit standoffish, but in my most recent experience i entered the store and received nothing but stares and silence. The people who came in directly after me however received a warm welcome and plenty of assistance (the store was almost completely empty). After my purchase there was no thank you or goodbye. I'm sad to stop shopping here but this experience was so noticeably strange and unwelcoming that I don't feel comfortable continuing to come here. read more

I've tried shopping at this place 3 times now while on vacation here, first time they were "closed for lunch" for 3 hours on a weekend, then they were so busy with only one person working that I decided to leave instead of waiting for over an hour to be served. Then they decided to be closed for the busiest time which is alllll of spring break....do better for being open or close it all down till you get your shop in order.... read more

I heart this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The owner (a female whos name elude me) spent soooooo much time with my mother and myself. She was also great to talk too... She had a lot, a lot of patience....as I was like a kid in a candy store. My grandparents used to be jewelers, so I grew up playing with gems...so I was in my element. I tried on a ton, she even let me take a mirror outside so I could see the stones in natural light. They have an amazing selction of agates and geodes. I was stoked that she was impressed by what little knowledge I have on agates...I happend to mention that my favorites are coyamitos. And she said I am prob. the pnly person in town who even knows what one is. They have lots of jewelry, and also loose stones to purchase. I ended up getting a pair of baby geode earrings....super unique and a ring that matches pretty closely. Both are totally magical to me. They are something, you just have to see. Trust me...you will fall in love when you see the druzy sparkle. Super fun name too!!!!! read more

Absolutely one of the best gem/mineral stores I've been to so far. Pretty good selection of raw rocks and tons of selection if you're looking for jewelry. This store is definitely not overpriced by any means compared to other stores downstate, and I totally recommend taking a look if you're a collector. The woman working was incredibly friendly and helpful, and went out of her way to go around the store to show me what I was looking for. Really great staff and you can tell they know what they're talking about which is great when it comes to this type of collecting. This is a beautiful new store that opened in downtown Traverse City in April 2011. It focuses on rocks and minerals, and has super cool jewelry and items for the home that feature stones. You can find great gifts here- anything from jewelry, to bowls, to playing cards, to purse hooks, to dog collars. The owners are a mother/daughter/son-in-lawn team, and they know their stuff! Wonderful store with unique and detailed pieces that are great gifts for any occasion. I had been searching everywhere for a unique stone and traveled from down state to see if they had anything resembling.
