Sister and I have a crazy 2022 goal, splits, handstands and tumbling. Do you teach adults?

Yes we do teach adults. Feel free to stop by the gym today around 5pm to 8pm

What is the age requirement? My daughter is two years old and I am looking to put her in gymnastics near my mothers house.

We do privates for ages 4-6 and open class they must be 6 and older

The instructors and owner really care about the kids and it shows. My kid has been taking private with Johnny and has rapidly progressed. Every coach here is positive, professional, and makes learning fun. They push my daughter, but only within her limits. She grows every single week and her limits keep extending. She looks forward to each and every gymnastics session. I am always seeing them cleaning -- when I mean always, I mean every single time I am here. There is no "gym" smell. It is spotless. The front desk employees are great, especially Savannah. Most of the people have worked here for years and years and it shows. It is a great, positive environment for staff which in turn makes it a great studio for kids. This studio cares about the kids. I do not feel like a dollar sign like at other studios. This studio is professional and positive and I feel that has helped translate into every other area of my kid's life. Details matter and the attention and focus she is learning here will serve her will. Thank you Stars!

Despite the high volume of students, the gym is run in an organized way. My daughter is a visual learner, so we really appreciate that the coaches take time to demonstrate the skills (either themselves or by using students as examples) rather than just explaining things verbally. This has made a big difference in her learning. Another thing I love is how clean the facility is. The staff is constantly cleaning the floors, equipment, and restrooms, which is especially important given how many kids are in and out throughout the day. You also don't often find a gymnastics facility that can accommodate and have enough seating for 50+ parents to sit comfortably on the sidelines while watching and waiting. It makes the experience more pleasant and welcoming for families. One of our favorite things is their flexible makeup class policy. Whether it's a trip or your child isn't feeling well, and it's so nice that they offer options to make up for few missed classes.

When I first walked…read morethrough the doors, I had zero CrossFit experience, very little exercise experience at all, and a huge fear of being in such a hyper-masculine environment. Fast forward to today, and I'm leaving to a new state with skills and confidence I never imagined possible: throwing weight over my head and squatting it, getting a double-under with a jump rope, running a full mile without stopping, and so much more. I'm also leaving in the best shape of my life and with friendships that feel more like family. This gym is incredibly welcoming and supportive of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels. The workouts are both challenging and fun, and the coaches truly care about helping you reach your personal goals. Whether you want to compete, run a 5k, or simply get in a great workout, they'll listen and guide you every step of the way. If you're new to CrossFit, know that it will be challenging at first, but if you pace yourself and stick with it, you'll likely fall in love with it just like so many of us have, ESPECIALLY at Big Bang Athletics.

They don't make me hate the work out (not always anyways haha) and I feel comfortable walking in to the box on my own, not feeling like I don't fit in or that I shouldn't be there. The members here are very welcoming and nice, and I think that's the type of environment the owner, Fernando, really tries to embrace at the box. I would dread going to the gym, but I don't ever feel that way at Big Bang. When I miss a day, I actually look forward to my next workout day. I've been going for about 4 months now and if you're looking for challenging workouts to test yourself mentally and physically, Big Bang is a place to go. I've lifted weights that I never thought I would be able to do all thanks to the coaches here. One of the things that I love about going here is that the coaches top priority is your safety. So they focus on form and technique to ensure you're doing the movements right without hurting yourself. They don't expect you to lift heavy and would prefer that you go light with correct form than to do heavy with bad form that would lead to injuries. They watch your work out and correct your form as needed. On top of that, they are very motivating. Not only are they watching you for your safety, but they're cheering you on to keep moving. And this isn't done in an aggressive way to keep you moving, but in an encouraging way like they believe in you. The members here are the same! Some members from the prior class will stick around to do cool down or what not, but they also encourage you to keep moving during your workout as well and help you if needed. They'll even encourage you to put on more weight to challenge yourself. You'll be surprised what you can actually do if you tried. I feel myself getting stronger each time and honestly I love the idea of working out 10-20 minute work out a day and feel like I got a total body workout. It totally beats going to the gym for an hour and I feel more efficient during my short WOD. Plus each day is different, so I know I'm working every part of my body and not letting it be missed. The movements may be similar, but each day is always different during the week. So you won't ever get bored of the workout.. just maybe tired haha.

I arrived on a Saturday (around 2:25PM). Parking is easy. The lot is connected to Cameron Park's lot, so I easily found a space since it's big. Staff is very courteous and professional. Staff appeared a little guarded and confused that someone had approached them to ask questions, but Staff politely helped. I asked about the hours and basketball court. Staff explained that there's a $2 fee for the basketball court, and Staff said it's available on the weekdays from 9AM to 4PM. Later, I double-checked their website, and I noticed that Staff omitted the information that it's also free for kids. I will attach a picture of that information to this review. Staff came off as polite, but it's strange how Staff repeatedly emphasized how the official hours were always subject to change. When I'd explored the Recreation Center, the place is shiny and spotless. I spotted their game center (includes a foosball table, pingpong table, and pool table). And I saw their shiny basketball court. The location also had available restrooms and places to sit. It looked very inviting. Overall, the Cameron Park Recreation Center is a welcomed addition to the community. Awkward Staff aside, I had a pleasant experience. 4.6 out of 5
