Summer always does a great job on my husbands hair. Known her for years, she's a pro.

Just visited this place after looking for a good barbershop across this area and I found it! Summer was awesome, very thorough and took her time to cut my hair with excellence. She was not in a rush like other barbershops that feel like they are on a time limit. She was very friendly and welcoming and took the time to get my hair right after visiting quite a few places in the area. On point Barbershop my new go to place! Thank you for the excellent cut! I will be back! Awesome job! read more

There have been power issues all over the area due to the heat wave so I missed my appointment this morning. I got a text saying power was restored so just walk in. That says a LOT about the customer service and professionalism you will experience at On Point. Even though I grew up in a household where my Dad was an engineer for a huge Military Industrial Complex conglomerate, shop local/support small businesses was ingrained in me at an early age. Still the best quality, price, customer service of any barber shop in the area. The location is convenient and the shop is always clean. read more

I have never in my 38 years of life had a better haircut than the one I got from Summer. She is a beast at making my fat round face look good with all the kid created grey hair on my head, haha. I finally found a barbershop!!!! read more

I was really looking forward to getting my haircut this afternoon, but after pulling up to the store, I saw that they were closed. This was at 4:30pm on a Friday, 1.5 hours before 6pm posted closing time. I can only assume that there was some type of emergency that the owner and operators had to deal with, but maybe think of putting up a sign or something to let the patrons know that this was an exception, not the norm. I'm disappointed because I have received good haircuts and service here before, but as a consumer, I tend to hold business owners to their posted times of operation. Sorry I missed you. Going to have to go elsewhere from now on. Update: I was contacted by the owner and it was explained to me that there was, in fact, a family emergency. I understand and I will try them out again. read more

I have been looking for a good place to get my 3 year old sons' haircut for the longest time, little did I know it was right down the road! Summer is wonderful. She was so kind and patient with my son and my crazy protective mama requests. Summer is definitely our new go to hairstylist and my boy is so excited to go back to "Ms. Summer at the big boy haircut store!" *I wrote my review late at night and I mixed up names with a different review I wrote. It was Summer who cut my sons hair and I corrected my review. I'm sorry! read more

Great haircut, I loved the fact I could text and make an appointment. It was nice to go to support a local business who's actually on point when cutting hair. read more

I moved back to Cameron Park for moments and places like this. I got my haircut but Summer a part owner of On Point. First off she was sweet and friendly asked a lot of questions about how I liked my hair cut. She took great time and attention to detail and they charge a very reasonable rate for being a small independent business. That's not ever why I really like this place. I moved back here to enjoy small life experiences like this one. I was thrilled to patronize a local business but I was even more thrilled to learn Summer and her fiance their families are from the area. I could have grown up with them. They share the same love of this small town I do and are bringing some life into a strip mall that has been sad for a long time. It's clean, cool atmosphere, affordable, the chairs are comfortable as hell, it has friendly service and aspirations of becoming barber certified. I will be back for every hair cut! Bye bye super great cut clips. read more

Great hair cut. Great service. Good to have a shop like this close by. I will be back. Todd read more

I had been here a few times and got good hair cuts. But this last time, I went in with long hair which I wanted to keep. I told the barber "Leave my ears covered as I am self conscious about my hearing aids. Also, leave the thickness on the side as I need that to cover my ears." Boom, cut it all off, above the ears, thickness gone and now I have short hair! WTF? Did you not hear me or did you just not pay any attention to what you were doing. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I live in Folsom and I've been going to Summer and Shyla for my haircuts for years! Love these ladies! Even when I lived in midtown it was worth the drive. You get a good barber and you don't want to go anywhere else. I'm lucky enough to have two! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! These are the most unprofessional girls I have ever come across who are business owners. I have never in my life left a bad review so this says a lot! I guess there is a first time for everything. This girl named Joey cut my sons hair and took a long time and when I commented how it was unusual they were taking so long she took offense and became extremely rude not only to me but to my 10 year old son (who I still told to go leave a tip for her.) I texted Shyla, (one of the owners) to let her know how I felt and she didn't have the courtesy to respond. Unbelievable to see store owners treat their customers that way! There's plenty other barber shops in the area to go to. I would definitely try somewhere else! The owner even had to help her get it done correctly! read more

Did a great job on my squirmy two year olds hair! Will definitely be taking him back, my husband also liked the vibe inside and will be going there for future haircuts also! Recommend! read more

Can't remember the name of lady who cut my hair, but she cut my hair well the first try. My fiancé / now wife approved.

I go there ever 2 weeks for my zero fade and love it. It's a routine that makes me smile every time. Loyal fan all the way.

Summer did my infants first two haircuts. She did a great job, was patient with him and this first time mamma! The place looks great! We will be regulars! #keepitlocal read more

The girls are Professional and the customer service is unbelievable. They have an immaculate shop with a very clean bathroom. Best in el dorado County, hands down! If you want to get cut by beautiful women that know what they're doing then this is your spot!!!!!! read more

Summer is great. She is very gentle and talented. She knew just how to cut my hair based on it's characteristics and the shape of my head. My hair was "perfect". I will keep her as my go-to hair cutter from now on. The other stylist cut my hair pretty well on my first 2 visits but failed this last time. She has always been rough with the comb and seemed to basically phone it in. read more

Best haircut around! I highly recommend them! Well unless it messes with my haircut times...jk. Give them a shot, you won't regret it.

Followed these young ladies from their old gig on CPD. Stopped by Saturday for a haircut. Fast, efficient, reasonably priced, and just how I like it. What impressed me was the toddler haircut going on across from me. I don't know if it was Summer or Shyla but she was very patient with the little boy. He was fussy but she kept up a healthy banter to keep him occupied and went out of her way to make this a not unpleasant experience. I will be bringing my grandson in when he visits in August. read more

They just opened up on Cambridge so I decided to give them a try. The prices are very reasonable and it's super chic. Shyla is very sweet and she did a great job! I will definitely be back and make this my new salon. read more

Got my haircut here by Summer, and it's a truly amazing haircut, she was super friendly and the shop has a great vibe and ambiance to it.

I took my son here right before school started in August, and loved it. His cut was great and the girls were friendly. We went back again today and the woman who cut his hair was not friendly at all, she barely said a word to him or I. She was pulling his hair fairly hard when trimming the top. After we left my son made a statement about her pulling his hair and that he didn't want to go back. Not sure if I will go back or not. read more

I'm the guy who goes to whatever hair cut place is close and cheap. After my girlfriend telling me to get a hair cut that makes me look less homeless I decided to go to on point. It was awesome. Id much rather support local business then pay a few dollars less at a corporate place. Awesome hair cut and a super clean place, I'm sold. read more
