JW Foods can be considered a shopping haven for body builders and fitness enthusiasts - the whole store is catered towards the lifestyle. They carry a whole range of meat products (frozen or fresh) packaged in bags/boxes and you can order by the pound or by box. The frozen broccoli is slightly more pricey than Costco, but the frozen mushrooms are a good deal at $4.00 a pack. You can also find Quest bars, peanut/almond butter, agave syrup, stevia, Mrs. Dash seasoning...etc. They used to carry egg whites (the one with the muscular chicken on the carton), but sadly, they switched to the smaller and pricier ones currently sold at Costco. The flexing chicken brand needs to come back.. They're only open till 3PM on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. Cash, debit and VISA are all accepted!

Now, the downside of this place is that their stock isn't listed online. I really think they should consider expanding their online presence, as more people would likely visit if they could see what's available. That said, I gave them a call and they confirmed they had what I needed, albeit a different brand than I usually take. After doing some research, the brand seemed reliable and is third-party tested, so I decided to pick it up. Prices were cheaper than Amazon and Healthy Planet for the product I wanted, and more cost-effective than my usual brand. However, prices can be higher on other items, and they don't price match, so it's worth doing some research. They also have a loyalty or membership program to collect points. I was in a rush, so I didn't get to sign up or explore the store fully, but they carry a wide range of products. It's great to have a local spot, and I'll definitely give them a call next time before ordering from Amazon if I'm in the area.

I was impressed with both the friendliness of the staff, as well as their knowledge. Unlike other health food stores, where you ask them where something is, and they treat you like you're disturbing them (as if customer service is not the central part of their job), the staff at Nutrition House will take you right to where you need. They'll also dig a bit deeper, and ask for your purpose in buying that supplement, and give you either better alternatives that suit your purpose (even if they're cheaper), dispel myths (that the supplement you're buying doesn't actually accomplish the goal that you want it to), or enhance it (that the supplement you're buying works better with another supplement). This is why I like buying my supplements at Nutrition House Fairview.

I was looking for a local vendor for a cake for my parents' vow renewal. This was a bit of a last minute ordeal so I wasn't planning on getting much productive feedback. I reached out via email, gave Ms. Stella some options, then she met with my parents so that they could choose exactly what they wanted. She offered them a tasting and even brought the samples to their house at their discretion. On the day of the special occasion, Ms. Stella was the first vendor to get to the house and set up. The cake was just lovely and tasted even better. Our guest list exceeded about 50 people and almost everyone asked about the company we went through for the beautiful cake. Beautiful presentation, professional, prompt and flexible from the beginning. We will surely use Ms. Stella going forward for our special occasions!
