This quaint little shop is an absolute must visit for all of your metaphysical needs in Lubbock…read more Feeling a bit witchy? Looking to align your chakras or build and purify a meditation space? Or looking for some sources of divination from an alternative spiritual connection? Look no further. First and foremost, the staff here was amazingly helpful and non-judgmental, even as I came here feeling like I didn't quite belong, somehow. They made me feel welcome and answered my questions about the benefits of certain crystals for what I've been dealing with lately. While crystals and stones make up a huge chunk of what they sell, one would be remiss not to point out the many other items. There's a literal wall of books on topics relevant to the store. Tarot and Oracle decks, runes and pouches. Plenty of Palo Santo, sage, and bundles of other herbs for purification. Incense, singing bowls, talismans, jewelry, the list goes on and on. The shop is small and cozy. It snugs up nicely here amid the relaxing atmosphere of Cactus Alley with a courtyard outside and a coffee shop next door. Easily now one of my favorite stores in Lubbock.

I don't ever feel the need to write online reviews, but this place deserves praise…read more I have just finished my first month at OTF and I have found a near addiction to this place. Upon entering, no matter what time of day my workout is, one of the employees greets me with a smile and addresses me by my name. Again, I've only been going a month and they are so good they all memorized my name after the first time I met them. The coaches always have positive words while in the workouts and challenges us to improve our performance every day. I have been going 4-5 times per week and have dropped roughly 12 pounds this month (this is obviously combined with a healthy diet). These workouts have produced as much, if not more, results for me in a month than I would in 6 months during my high school football days. I've always been an athlete, yet I don't think I've ever felt more athletic. If you're looking for a gym that treats its members like family, pushes you to your limits daily, and truly loves seeing results from its members, this is your place.

As someone who went from being a sedentary desk worker to actually working out let me give you a run down about who this is for. 1. This is for people who like a structured workout 2. The price is very reasonable when you think about it. From the Coaches, Machines, and the facilities it all gets factored in 3. No one is there to make you feel bad. There are people with all different body types trying to be healthier. 4. Get there on time, they have strict on time policies that you need to adhere to. 5. Don't be afraid to ask questions, the coaches are there for you. 6. Everyone knows each other, you will be like an outsider on your first session. Don't let that frighten you! Over time you will get to know everyone. 7. Please understand what the orange theory actually is. Many websites explain it very well so please look into it. You aren't going to get shredded just doing orange theory. 8. Overall orange theory is very worth it if you understand what you are getting yourself into.

BODY is hands-down one of the most beautiful and memorable yoga studios I've been to in a long…read moretime. This space used to be called Indigenous Imports, and you can absolutely feel that history the second you walk in. The building itself is stunning -- two levels, open and airy, with live plants, greenery, antiques, and retail woven throughout the downstairs. It's the kind of place where you don't know where to look first because every corner has texture, character, and something special to notice. Originally, the owner was shipping imports from Belize, and that story is literally built into the space. Upstairs opens into this large, open atrium-style studio with gorgeous windows and architectural details you wouldn't expect from the outside. Over time, the space naturally evolved into what it is now -- a yoga, barre, and Pilates studio upstairs, with the downstairs functioning more like a lobby and retail area. The transition feels organic and authentic, not forced. The aesthetic is unreal. Rustic, lofty, Belize-inspired, with brick, cement, layered textures, warm lighting, and these incredible imported pieces everywhere -- including massive coconut planters and furniture shipped in from Belize. It's so my style it almost hurt. One thing I've never experienced before: practicing yoga on huge, mismatched, imported rugs instead of traditional studio flooring. It completely changes the energy of the class in the best way. The rugs are beautiful, cozy, and make the space feel grounded and lived-in rather than sterile. I took a yoga class with Jen, and she was fantastic -- clear cues, great music, and a calm, confident presence. She also shared the story of the studio and even recommended other studios and places around town to check out, which really speaks to the non-competitive, community-first vibe here. I also met some awesome women in class -- great energy all around. A few helpful notes: * Not a heated studio, but I've heard their candlelight classes are especially special * They provide blocks and straps * They have a small number of mats available (perfect for travelers popping in) * No showers, but the bathroom is spacious and beautiful with plenty of room to change * Tons of cubbies and space -- it never felt crowded * Drop-in rates and memberships are extremely affordable, especially for yoga, barre, and Pilates I loved the space so much I ended up buying a shirt after class -- it's impossible not to want to shop while you're there. My class happened to overlook snow through those big upstairs windows, with tropical plants surrounding us, soft lighting, great music, and those stunning rugs beneath us. It was one of those moments where you just pause and think, wow... this is really special. If you're local or visiting and want a studio that feels beautiful, welcoming, creative, and genuinely inspiring to be in -- BODY is absolutely worth your time.

All the yoga instructors here have such a sparkling and warm personality and you very rapidly feel…read moreat home here! From Greg's bubbly persona to Lindsey's soft, calming and bright its SUCH a loving environment!
