Dr. Baumann listened to me and explained that teeth cleaning was done quite differently now and that he assured me it was not painful and I would not be scraped with archaic tools, just the power of water. Every step of the way the Hygienist was kind, calming and very good at her job. It was not painful at all and I will go to get my teeth cleaned every 4 months from now on. In total, I paid approximately $50,000 for a full-lower dental implants under the assumption that I was receiving high-quality, long-lasting treatment backed by professional integrity and care. However, less that three years after the procedure, the implants have failed not once, but twice. This is completely unacceptable for a procedure of this magnitude and cost. Each time the implants have broken, I have been left not only dealing with the physical pain and inconvenience, but also with an emotional and financial burden that should never have been necessary - especially after paying a premium price for what was supposed to be permanent, top-tier dental work. To make matters worse, when I sought accountablity and assistance from your office regarding these failures, you and your staff have refused to stand by your work. I find this deeply unethical and disappointing. Patients who invest their trust - and signifacant financial resources - in your care deserve better. Frankly, I feel taken advantage of and cheated. When I called to schedule a follow-up appointment, I was informed that I had been seen at the La Quinta location for this cleaning--which never happened. Instead of working with me to resolve the billing issue, the staff member I spoke with became argumentative. I made it clear I was simply trying to understand the charges, not argue. When I asked to speak with someone else, I was placed on hold for 15 minutes and no one ever returned to the call. The extraction itself was equally troubling. I had been told by a prior dentist that accommodations like laughing gas would be provided to help manage my anxiety, but nothing was offered. The bedside manner was very poor--when I became emotional due to the stress and the rough nature of the procedure, the doctor appeared irritated and asked if he should just stop altogether. I opt for just a crown instead and never had any problems. Found another dentist that saw a gap from the crown where bacteria could get in . Palm desert dental center does substandard work .. also, Dr kuncke is nice but so rude to the staff .. he was so rough my jaw was sore for over a week . So many other representable dentist in the Coachella valley.. I would never refer anybody to this dentist office
