I have been coming to Omid dental since the beginning of my ortho journey. I had really bad wisdom tooth pain and when I did my research of where to go, Dr. Ardy came up as the no pain dentist so I knew this was the place to go. You make an appointment and you have to wait an hour or more for a simple filling. My fillings fell out 7 months later and said it's not covered because I dint brush them right. They still use the silver or black fillings and charger extra for white ones. They try to up sale you on everything! That's why I hate going to the dentist! They never give you an up front costs. And when you ask questions regarding billing they get a bit bothered! Iam like I don't care get mad you will give me an exact amount on the services or else Iam going elsewhere. We have 2 insurance with my wife from work and they still charged me for fillings. New place I go does everything the insurance covers, and stops and lets me know when it's out of pocket. The long wait times are ridiculous when having an appointment! They over book and the one that does not cancel and shows up on time pays the price. This is not a fake review doctor arty you went to usc you are from the great nation of Iran you told me while you worked on my teeth. This is the best dentist I have ever been too. He knows what he is doing. I had a tough extraction but it was not the fault of the dentist it was the tooth itself. And he handled it well. Not only did he make me feel safe, him and some of his staff stayed late to make sure it was finished. I was in pain and they took me same day and he cares about his patients. This place made me super uncomfortable. I was uncertain of a paper they asked me to sign and needed further guidance so I sent a picture to a family member and immediately the lady went rushing to the dentist to tell him and made a big scandal about it. The dentist seemed super cool and he was nice about everything but I was completely thrown off from this experience and decided to seek elsewhere. I was also confused as to why it took so long to get x rays done and instead they had me in a consultation room already offering me treatments that were expensive before I even got x rays done. Back in 2018, Dr. Hakahmian helped my friend in an emergency walk in. Her wisdom tooth was infected and it needed immediate extraction and the Dr. kindly let me inside the office because my friend was nervous and scared. She was well taken care of as he patiently spoke to her and explained her situation. We both walked out happy and pleased with the office and Dr.'s manners and attitude of help and grace. In a second occasion, Dr. Hakamian helped the same friend during the Pandemic close down when her tooth fell out and he helped in save her tooth from being completely extracted kept her natural root after cleaning out her cavity, saving moler and avoiding her losing yet another moler and overly expensive and unnecessary crown to her gum. Came here yesterday with my grandma and I came all the way from Koreatown! I had called in for an emergency because I needed my molar extracted specifically #17. My wisdom is partially impacted and I have pericoronitis. The first thing I asked when I called was "IS THERE AN ORAL SURGEON PRESENT?" I wasted almost two hours and found out during the talk I had with the dentist Ardy himself that he was going to do this surgery not knowing he was not an oral surgeon. If I wasn't asking all these questions I would've never known. Respectfully, It's irrelevant to me whether a dentist can do a molar extraction. Oral surgeons SPECIFICALLY have that TITLE because they went to school to do just that. I'm not saying he can't do molar extractions but why would I go to a dentist if that's what an oral surgeon is for? We are talking about intricate nerves that may cause nerve damage. This is not just some random surgery... I could possibly lose sensation in my chin and lower lip and probably the whole side of my face. The only reason I came from Koreatown was because the front office told me there was one available I came and gave them my insurance and filled out all of the paper work which I hope they didn't bill because they didn't do one single thing to me... I even provided my OWN panoramic picture of my teeth. He also mentioned a CT scan for my right molar tooth cause it was"under my nerve." But yet I didn't even go for my right molar I went for my molar #17 on the left side, he said he wanted to see it he was able to take it out and if it was too complicated he'd refer me to an oral surgeon. Makes me think does he just want to collect insurance $? Because I might as well just go to an oral surgeon then! It goes to show you just because you're desperate for pain to go away don't make quick decisions out of emotion and desperation. I unfortunately wasted a lot of gas.. 40 mins there and 40 mins back while In pain. I Don't appreciate the lack of transparency at all. Also never heard of getting collagen as opposed to bone grafts after molar surgery. I wanted to do more research on that as opposed to doing it on the spot. I will call my insurance tomorrow and will check to see if they billed anything as well. * let me be frank. This is not to bash anyone I just would've appreciated more transparency and would have liked if I didn't waste so much time just to get nothing resolved. The people were still respectful and didn't push me into doing anything I was uncomfortable with. I just would've saved myself the trip and waited. I have the upmost respect for dentist and oral surgeons because it's a lot of schooling so many wouldn't do... but the surgery is already risky itself... I'd rather just go with an oral surgeon. read more

I want to thank Dr. Ardy Hakhamian and his staff for coming in late last night for an emergency extraction for my mom. The whole team came in without a fuss and was able to take care of my moms needs. Dr. Ardy educated my mom and my family about what my mom needed and dental health. He was super informative and did not make me feel obligated to do anything that we did not want to do. He was super easy going and a great bed side manner. He also went out of the way to help us look for an open 24 hour CVS Pharmacy and put in a verbal order to expedite our medication for my mom. My pharmacist over the phone gave Dr. Ardy so much grief, but Dr. Ardy still stayed super pleasant and just wanted to take care of his patient in which I am super grateful. Honestly the experience I received after last night has really won me over. South Gate is not too far from where we are located in Long Beach/Bellflower area and I honestly wouldn't mind the drive. I think I found my new dentist. The staff itself was super friendly. They even have a therapy support dog who was just the cutest and sweetest thing. Zara definitely won our hearts as well. With a yelp check in, you get a free teeth whitening kit. However, I don't think it came with instructions on how to use it lol Also the number listed on their yelp is also a text-able number so if you have any questions, comments, or concerns; feel free to text your little heart away. We paid cash for our treatment, I don't know if it was because it was an emergency after hour treatment, but I do wonder if they accept credit cards?! Also if they have a payment plan option and offer some kind of discounts. These are future questions for when I want to come in to get some work done lol I would love to recommend all my friends and family here after the experience I had last night. read more

I have been dreading to go to the dentist for about 2-3 years due to some horrible experiences in the past. After my sister had her 4 wisdom teeth extracted (very light pain), and seeing all the excellent reviews on yelp I finally decided to set up a appointment. Today I went in for 2 ROOT CANALS ! I was super nervous because well I don't like hearing the drilling noise (and it didn't help that I YouTubed videos of root canals). The root canal specialist (forgot his name, sorry) did such an amazing job. He took his time, made sure I was ok. I did NOT FEEL NO PAIN WHATSOEVER.
