The individual attention, care and pampering I receive here are some of the many reasons why I come to Luxe and are unlike any other experience that I had elsewhere. I receive color/bayalage from Alishia and cut/style from Marybeth. Alishia is an artist and truly gifted with her hair coloring/painting ability! I love that they take before, during, and after pictures of my hair! The pictures are empowering and let me see the transformation of my hair. Marybeth is extremely talented with the scissors. She always gives my hair more depth with layers to allow for volume and has consistently given me the best haircuts of my life. My hair feels and looks so healthy after my visit and lasts a very long time. The scalp massage during the wash is my absolute favorite, any tension that I feel is immediately released from my body. I live in the city and have very hard water so I always ask for the hard water treatment where you can smell the minerals/metals coming off of my hair! It leaves my hair absolutely smooth and I recommend this application to anyone with hard water. When COVID started, my appointment had to be cancelled and once the salons received the clearance to open, I received a call where the staff were accommodating each customer based on the cancellation date. I currently work in healthcare and I was nervous to go into the facility with risk that I could bring the virus home to my patients and family. The salon uses every precaution and because of the intimated boutique environment you are the one of the only clients there. The salon is sanitized after each client and you are met at the front door for hand sanitizer and temperature checks. Luxe Color Lounge has been the only place that I truly felt safe in except for my home!

I never do anything crazy, but if I ever wanted to I would trust her completely to give me fun colors and a funky cut and make it look amazing. Paige is also sensitive to the fact that haircuts can be a bit scary for some people - when I wanted to cut my waist-length hair to the middle of my back (still long, but drastic for me!), she patiently let me check the length it would be in the mirror a bunch of times and even measured it with a tape measure so I would know exactly how much would come off to make sure I was ok with it. As it turned out, I cut off 8 inches and was able to donate it, which Paige handled completely. It felt great to donate my hair and I love my new look. Paige also did my hair for my wedding last summer and I couldn't have been happier. She really worked with me to achieve my vision, during a trial at Hairs to You, on my wedding day, and in between on the phone. She also worked hard to do my mom's hair in the exact way she requested, and she was very satisfied and looked gorgeous. Same with my mother-in-law - I've never seen her look better. We've had a couple less than stellar cuts, but kids move and things happen. We've also had some good cuts - so I understood why they come so highly recommended. I asked for it to "just be cleaned up" and it's summer-cut short... it's a horrible bowl cut in the front instead of his cute part. I came in to see Rachel and let her know that it was well over a year since I've had an actual haircut. I also let her know that I wanted a curly perm that would give my hair more volume. My hair naturally is pin-straight and very fine, which means that it is not the easiest type of hair to perm. Rachel went above and beyond with her service. She cut my hair to perfection, exactly as I wanted. No more, no less. During the cut, she found a dread lock that I have been meaning to brush out. That dreadlock was in my hair for nearly 8 years, it was the last one I had left. While we were waiting for my perm to start, she volunteered to start brushing it out and Wei came over to assist. In under 10 minutes, they were able to completely brush out the dreadlock and trim it so that it was the same length as the rest of my hair! This also meant that I got a second shampooing!!! I was so ecstatic that they were able to brush it out that very same day because those hairs from the dreadlock were going to be permed too! Wei and Rachel double-teamed my perm when putting it in the curlers. What I loved about the service is that it was my first time using different sized curlers for my entire head which Wei suggested because it was suppose to give the perm more texture. She was completely RIGHT, I was so happy with the end result. Now that it's been nearly a week and I've washed out the perm. I have been receiving compliments on it every single day. What I loved the most about this salon is: - Rachel was waiting for my arrival. I usually have to sit and wait anywhere else, but for once my stylist was waiting on me! - CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN.
